Chapter 76;

Today is a day I was teaching my son the basics, I really wish I had help.. But I can do this on my own.
He was a good student, kept his head high and took notes .

He sat in the office chair as he did paperwork, I couldn't make the bond yet until we had word from the council. It was bothering him that he was to go against his Uncle but he didn't back down.

"Do you really think I have a chance." He asked not taking his eyes off the papers.

I smiled and grabbed his chin.
"You have more of a chance than he does ." I said .

He nodded smiling at me. Vanessa came in placing lunch down, there was still some tension between them but they didn't let it mess up there bond.

"Thanks sweetie." I said .

She nodded sitting on my lap.
"How is the baby."

"Health." I said smiling .

"Lana awake?"

She frowned shaking her head, Lana wasn't awake and it's been 5 days since everything happened .

As I sat there eating the sandwich, I missed Vikki so much but I had to be strong for my kids and the pack.

Jason walked in and sat down on the sofa I was on and yawned.
"I heard that Michael is trying to get people on his side."

"Doubt anyone would." I rolled my eyes .

"I heard some people are considering leaving aswell. Since his age."

"His age has nothing to do with it, he is just as strong as anyone here.. And when we make the connection he will have Alpha blood." I said .

"We all know he is strong, and he is working his hardest . Don't over work your self kiddo." Jason smiled.

Vincent smiled nodding.
"I am trying my best and I hope everyone see's that. " he said taking a bite of food.

"I see it, I'm willing to fight for you ." I said .

Vanessa stormed out the room without a word. Her mate has not woken up since she put her to sleep, I know it must be hard for her.. She knows I'm here to support her .

"So back to what's going on."

"Hunter's are no where to be seen, even the rouge's. Her family has yet to be caught and no Vampires to be seen." Jason said .

I bit my lip nodding .
There all into hiding and for what .. From me that's what.. I will burn all vampires by the stake if I had a chance .

"We need to look in caves and in places that there good at hiding at." Vincent said tapping his chin .

"But why hide some where were we would look?" I said .

"Because there waiting for us." Jason said .

"There waiting to see if we're smart and wouldn't figure this out ."

"It's a setup." I said grabbing out a map.
I looked at it and pointed.
"Here"

Vincent and Jason came over and looked at the map.
"Sewers?" They said.

"If they could attack us and we can't find a train.. It's the best hiding spot."

"Under the town. Quiet and a way to escape." Jason said .

"A way to get away with murder." Vincent stood up.
"Jason grab as many people as you can, go and scope it out . I'm coming with ."

"Vincent." I said standing up.

He smiled as Jason walked off. He grabbed my hand and held it.
"Trust me." He said and walked off .
I sighed and looked at the map.. I hope I'm right . Please be safe baby boy.

An hour has passed since they have been gone, I made food for the women and children as they waited nervously for there mates.
I couldn't blame them.. But something also felt weird.. I didn't have that chance to wait for my mate.. She was gone .

I shook my head from the bad thoughts and focused on my kids, that's what she would want .
Vincent was safe , he would mind link me and tell me he is good.
Vanessa was a depressed kid.
She was a banshee who made her mate sleep for probably all eternally . I hope I wasn't right though .

Amy came over to me carrying her beautiful baby boy. She smiled and sat down. He was peacefully asleep against her chest .
"How are things ?" She asked .

"Okay." I said .

She didn't push talking to me as Sara walked in and sat down . She smiled as she also had her baby asleep.
"Melissa, do you mind heating this bottle up for me please ?" Sara asked .

I nodded and grabbed the bottle putting it in the microwave. I put the time in and shut it as we waited in silence .
"Listen Melissa, I never thanked you.. For helping me, if it wasn't for you .. I wouldn't of had a healthy baby."

"No need to thank me. I was doing my job, even if I was scared out my mind ." I laughed as I grabbed the bottle and gave it to her.

"I owe you my life.. My babies life." She said .

"You don't owe me anything , your my pack and family, it's my duty ." I smiled .

She smiled and rubbed my hand . I jolted forward lightly .

They looked alerted .

"She kicked." I said smiling as i placed my hand on my stomach.

Vanessa heard stomach as she ran over excited from the other room and put her hand on my tummy and waited .
She squealed as the baby moved .
"Oh gosh! That must feel so weird mom."

I nodded smiling .

Tears began to fall from my eyes as they looked at me and frowned .
"Vikki is going to miss everything .." I cried .

"Mom.." Vanessa frowned crying as well.

"The birth.. Her first step, words.. She is going I miss it all." I cried.
Vanessa held me close as she cried with me .

"She is watching over you all.. She isn't missing anything " Amy smile at me whipping her eyes of tears .

I miss you Vikki..
