Chapter 98

My voice would be heard today.

Chapter 98:

I walked out the house as Vikki already headed out to where our men where. Thankfully I got ahold of Alex. He was on the south end just in case they tried something .

I spotted Jason as he waited for me near the woods, I jogged over as we ran to our spot.

"What are you trying to get from this?" He asked me.

"Answers. Why are they after my children." I said as I spotted Vikki and the other's.

I went beside her as she kept her eyes on our target .

"Let's try and be-

"They hurt my pups." I said standing up and going to the clearing .

I could hear her sigh but she followed beside me as the hunter's stopped .
Lana looked surprised to see us.

"I thought we had a deal-

"Deal?" I laughed .
"We never had a deal, you hunter's think your so tough because of those guns.. let's see you drop them and fight." I said cracking my knuckles .

"Hand Lana back. " Vikki said .

The man in charge smirked and stepped forward.
"I would watch that sweet little smirk off . I knew this would happen " he said laughing .

Nobody moved as the smell of blood made us look around. Who was bleeding.. where was it coming from..

"Ah you smell it. " he laughed .

"That your smelling is blood, blood of a child. One of your own, if you keep this up I'll kill the child." He said .

I looked at Vikki, I can't tell who scent it was.. I never smelled it before .
She shook her head , she didn't know .

"I don't believe you." I said .

He laughed .

"Why don't you ask him." He said .

I turned to see Alec frozen..

My eyes widened, they have his baby.. maybe even Amy.

I snapped my head forward and snarled my teeth.

"Aye aye. Watch it. One mistake and I'll slit the kids throat." He said .

I kept my cool as I watched him .

"Melissa just go! I'll be fine." Lana said .

My mind was going a thousand a minute.

"Alex take your men north .. they have Alec's son. Hurry." I mindlinked.

"Okay." He said .

Everyone remained still and quiet .

"You would kill a innocent child? " I said .

"Innocent? He was born a monster ." He said .

"A baby isn't a monster, she was born like every child. What if it was your child." I said .

He looked at me .

"Anything, we can't stall them forever." Vikki said .

"You may have a point, but a baby is still a baby and what your doing .. you might as well be the monster ." I said .

"We got him! He is unharmed, small cut nothing else."

I sighed lightly happy that he is safe.

The man laughed and shook his head .

"There is nothing holding us back from ripping your throats out ." I growled .

He put his hand up and laughed .
"That was a decoy ." He said .

What?

Something sharp was shown at me and injected into my neck as I let out a scream.

"Melissa!" Vikki yelled pulling the dart out my neck.

I fell to my knee's .. my vision was getting blurry.. soon I couldn't see.
I stared freaking out screaming .
"Vikki! I can't see!" I screamed .

My pack growled..

"What did you do! What is this!" Vikki growled holding me .

I tried to look around and see but I could.. my vision was gone, I was getting weaker and weaker .

"We have a problem at our town.. we need your held-

"Why should I help you!" Vikki snapped .

"Because I can cure her." He laughed .
"We have a problem and we need help, trust me this is our only way."

"What problem-

"I'll meet you at my town." He said .

I moved my hands around searching for Vikki's hand.
"A-Are they gone." I asked .

"Jason get everyone back, tell Violet to get ready!" She shouted picking me up in her arms.

"What was this dart filled with." Lark asked as they ran .

"Alec go check on your son." I said .

"Are you sure.." he said .

I nodded my head as his voice disappeared .

"Vikki.. don't let the kids see me like this." I said .

She didn't say anything as the wind vanished, warmth had me trying to look around but I couldn't see where I was .
Voices all around me were muffled.. my hearing was giving out on me .

Tears fell from my face as I was set down on a bed . Hands were all over me as I freaked out .
"It's me." Violet said looking at my neck.

"This was shot at her ." Vikki said .

"This?" She questioned looking at it .

"Camille get this looked at , tell me what was in this." She snapped orders.

"Yes!" Camille said rushing off.

A hand touched mine's, it was very warm . It must be Vikki but why couldn't I sense her?

"Vikki ! I can't hear you or see anything!" I screamed freaking out.

The hand gripped me tighter trying to signal me to calm down.. the voices around me were very muffled, staticky .. I couldn't understand.. what was happening to me.

She squeezed my hand one last time as my hand went cold..

Something was stuck into my arm as I started panicking.. soon my eyes were heavy.. than I was out cold.

Vikki's pov :

I watched as she fell asleep, we gave her sleeping medicine to see if she can sleep it off .

She was starting to burn up so we placed a cold rag on her head .

"Whatever this is.. it don't look good ." Violet told me .

I watched Melissa as her breathing was un even.

"Lark.. gather up people, we need to go to this town."

"It's far.." lark said to me .

"I don't care ." I said staring at her .

"I'll look after her Vikki, I have no clue when she will wake up from this." Violet told me .
"Plus I need to figure out what's happening to her ." She continued .

"Thank you." I said .

I walked over to Melissa and kissed her head.
"I'll fix this." I whispered and walked off .
