Chapter 77.

Vanessa's POV.

After having that sad and emotional time in the kitchen , I ate with my mom and tried cheering her up. I kind of understood her pain.. She lost her mate, I lost my dad.. It's still weird calling her that haha.

But I put my mate into a dark slumber.. I missed her .
What was I supposed to do.. Sit back and wait, that's what I have been doing and nothing works .

I was a ticking time bomb. The person that was helping or was gonna disappeared completely, I was so mad she did.. I needed help.. I could explode any minute and kill everyone around me, how was someone like me , who has no clue what I am or what I'm capable of , to control the power that comes out of me.

I sat beside Lana as she laid there on a beating monitor as well as IV that feeds her .
I grabbed her hand and rubbed it.
"Lana you have to wake up.." I said holding back tears.

"Vanessa, they guys are back." Kat said looking at me.
I nodded and stood up walking with her .

"You okay?"

"No." I said and saw my family .

I ran over and hugged Vincent. He smiled as my wolf purred , he held me close. He smelled like dirt and blood.

"What happen" I asked .

Mom was looking for any wounds as we talked .
"Only some Vampires in the sewers below the town. But we did and have a prisoner ." He said as we all looked at the screaming man.

He was pale and very banged up.

"Put him in the cells." Vincent said in command tone .

They nodded and walked off with him.
"Vampire?" I asked watching the young man being drug away.

"Yes, new and fresh. They are killing humans and making them Vampires."

"There making a Army." Mother said .

He nodded as Jason walked over, his mate Chloe jumped into his arms as he smiled.
I missed that.
I looked away as Vincent patted my head, I looked at him as he smiled .

"Lana?" He asked .

"Asleep." I said lightly.

He nodded and pinched my cheek.
Finally me and my brother we're seeing eye to eye, he didn't care we were mates. He wanted me happy and I was happy about that.

"I'm gonna get cleaned up than question the prisoner. Vanessa can you-

"I'm going with you." I said .

He looked at me and nodded turning to my mom.
"Can you treat the wounded ."

She smiled and nodded kissing his cheek as she walked off. Her baby belly made her look cute, me and Vincent were so protective over our unborn baby sister .
She was going to be born human but with amazing powers. We wanted to keep her hidden from danger as much as possible.

Vincent walked away and upstairs to get into the shower. I sighed and cleared my head as I didn't care waiting for Vincent. I snuck past the guards and went to the cellars. It was quiet because well no one was really down here , we never had prisoners.

But today we had one.

The boy laid on the ground and looked up at me. His red eyes trailed up and down my body as I growled making him look at my blue eyes .

"Mutt." He snarled.

"Why did you kill my father.. Why did you murder someone so innocent ." I said .

He looked at me raising his eyebrow.
"You mean the female?"

I sighed nodding .

He said nothing as he eyed me.

"Why did your people kill her!" I screamed annoyed .
"My mother is in pain! Do you know what that is like! Seeing your mother breaking each day! My baby sister will be born with out a father thanks to your people!" I cried screaming .

He looked at me and said nothing. It was pissing me off.

Feet came down the stairs as Vincent stared at me. I cried as I ran to him. He held me and rubbed my back.
"Nessa.." He whispered.

I hid my face as I felt his eyes on the prisoner .
"What did you say to her."

"I said nothing, she came in here rambling about her.. Father which is a woman. I know nothing about that. I was just turned into this creature." He said .

My chin was lifted up as Vincent looked at me.
"Go , I'll meet up late with you."

"No-

"Go." He commanded me.

I said nothing as I walked past him hitting his shoulder. I don't like that crap, we're family don't use Alpha tone on me!
I snarled all the way up the stairs as I walked past people . My mom saw me and smiled lightly at me but she saw my face and got serious.

"Vanessa?"

"I think making him in charge is bullshit-

"Language" she warned .

"He is commanding me, I'm his sister! His family ! His..." I trailed off huffing .

She sighed and came over moving my hair out my face.
"It's your wolf talking ." She said .

My wolf? I thought.

"Because he is your mate, your wolf does not like that . Him commanding you makes your wolf mad.. Upset and weak." She said .
"Trust me I knew the feeling.." She whispered.

I remained quiet as minutes later Vincent walked out talking in hushed tones with Jason and Lark as they nodded and rushed off.
He walked over to me and mom and rubbed her tummy smiling .

My mother smiled as I glared at him .

"What?" He said looking at me.

"What you mean what? Don't you ever command me again, I'm your sister . I'm not your pack dog you can just command like that." I said .

"Vanessa.." Mother spoke.

My brother chuckled lightly than placed my hand over his heart. My cheeks went red as I looked at his eyes .
"That's my wolf being dominant and protect over you, that's not me.. So if I ever seem commanding it's not me." He said .

I pulled my hand away and walked away blushing like crazy.
Stupid brother .
