Thanksgiving Dinner.

Chapter 26:

Everyone was rushing around getting things ready, the house smelled so good my mouth watered.

Josh,Vikki and Lark were all in the kitchen cooking.
Amy and Alec were resting with there new baby boy. He has heart problems but will go away once he gets older and trains as a wolf.

Sarah and Kyle were setting up the tables with Donny and Fred as well.
The family was all here and I was happy.
Alvin would be here soon with our YUMMY!

"Mom does this look nice?" Vanessa asked as I sat on her bed helping her pick clothes.

"Yes for the thousand time ." I sighed getting up kissing her head.

"You look adorable."

She smiled and looked at me.
"Thanks."

I walked away as she called for me.
"Yeah?" I asked.

"What should I do?" She asked.

"About the whole two mate thing?" I asked.

She nodded and looked at her self in the mirror.

I smiled .
"Follow your heart." I told her and walked away.

I really couldn't help her, it was her and her wolfs choice . Whatever she decides I will help her through it.

I walked in the kitchen seeing everyone working hard.
Alvin was bossing people around as his as his mate came up behind him throwing him over his shoulder.

I laughed as he started smacking him.
"How is the food coming along?"

"Good, but we need a couple things."

"Name it."

"Well, milk mostly and butter."

"On it! " someone shouted grabbing the keys.
I huffed, I wanted to help but seemed like everyone has everything under control.

"Thanks!" Jason yelled

I snuck behind Vikki and slid my arms around her. She smiled feeling the tingles and turned kissing me.
I smiled buffing her bottom lip as she growled.
"Miss me?"

"Very much." She smiled.

"I feel like I can't help?" I pouted.

"Help me make the pie?" She offered.

My eyes lit up as I nodded.

I put on a apron and followed her order's even if it wasn't perfect the pie was looking good.
She laughed as I freaked out about little things.
"Oh god! I put to much milk in!" I whined

She laughed.
"It's okay, we can fix it."

"It's ruined" I frowned.

She rubbed her thumb against my check.
"Your doing fine Melissa"

I smiled big bitting my lip.

As everyone was setting up the plates and bringing the food in everyone was grabbing there seats and sitting down talking. About. Vikki sat on the end as I sat on the side of her, same with Vincent and Vanessa.

My parents sat next to me, while Alec and Amy sat beside them with there cute adorable baby boy.
A very pregnant Sarah sat with Kyle  beside Donny and Fred.
Can't forget about Alvin with Jaden and Alex with Lucia, the whole family was together.. Except my brother. His chair was empty. I didn't let that bother me.

I would speak to him about it when I saw him.
Violet sat with Kat.
The rest of the pack sat down either in the kitchen or out in the living room or out in the back. There was allot of us so we had to work with what we could get and afford.

"Let's hold hands and say a prayer." Vikki spoke.

We all joined hands and closed our eyes.
"Today we are joined with family and friends. We are thankful to be here. Please pray for our well being and what the future has to come. Please watch over us gods. In prayer we say."

"Amen" everyone said.

"Dig in !" Lark shouted as his wife hit him.

We all laughed and dug in. Everyone was laughing , smiling and eating out.
Today was such a good day. I was happy to spend it with family.

Vanessa and Vincent were laughing away at stupid things, Mike as well was talking. It seemed Vincent and him talked things out .
I smiled at my two kids.
I looked over at Vikki staring at me with love and lust in her eyes .

I smiled and held her hand.

"Alpha if it's okay, I would like to say something." Alec spoke up.

Vikki nodded as we all looked at him.
Alex smiled and got down on his knee in front of Amy.

My heart melted, she started to cry as people cheered.
"Amy.. I love everything about you, and our precious boy. I want you to be my wife.. Will you marry me?" He asked.

She cried hard and nodded.

Everyone cheered and raised there glasses.
I smiled big as we all clapped and congratulated them!
(YAY!!)

We were all talking about how happy we were when a scream came from the living room.
Me and Vikki looked towards the door, as it swung open my brother stood there bloody.

His clothes were ripped and he had black eyes and a busted up lip.
Bite marks marked his body.
He looked horrible.

My mother and father stood up and ran to him.
"Son!" She cried.

I stood up.

Everyone looked alerted.

"What happened? Where have you been!" I shouted a little upset.
He has been gone weeks than crashed thanksgiving ?

"Really your angry at a time like this?" My mother snapped.

"Mad? I'm furious. You leave and don't come back! Than crash thanksgiving?" I yelled.
He glared at me.

"Melissa" Vikki came up behind me.
I calmed down but was still pissed.

"Well I was protecting you and those kids! " he snapped back.

"What happened" my mother asked.

He looked at al of us and sighed.
"Vampires, there not to happy still with us joining this pack. They wanted to kill me and you two , I tried to get away thank god I did." He sighed.

"They are coming.." He said.

I looked at my kids as they looked worried. I growled and glared at my brother.
"Get the the mothers and children some where safe Donny and Fred!" I ordered in Alpha tone.

They nodded gathering everyone up.

"Jason stay by my side, Sarah and Amy go into hiding and be safe, Kyle and Alec you protect them with your lives.
Lark don't let anyone get through that damn door to them."

I looked at my parents as everyone got up and was rushing to safety.
"Vanessa, Vincent and Mike.. Go protect eachother." They nodded and went off. Vanessa looked at me before they pulled her away.
I looked over at Vikki as she nodded.

She started ordering her warriors out on the yard.
I moved past my brother and stopped.
"So much for a happy thanksgiving."
