Zosia took a deep breath and knocked on the consultants office door. She was no longer scared of Ms Naylor but still found her boss quite intimidating. 'Come in'
'Ms Naylor, I'm so sorry, but my cousin is on AAU and she's really ill and I need to...' Zosia breathed
'What?' Jac asked as she had understood nothing of what Zosia had said as she'd said it all so quickly.
'Sorry' Zosia replied 'Ali is my cousin and she's on AAU, she collapsed, and they're trying to find out why. She really needs me, and Ollie can cover my shift, can I go and be with her?'
'Ok' Jac answered. She had a soft spot for Zosia, as Zosia reminded Jac of her younger self.
'Ok?' Zosia asked.
' family is important, I know that now I have Emma.' Jac finally smiled thinking of her young daughter always made her smile. It kind of ruined her ice queen persona. Just then Jac's half sister and F1 doctor Jasmine Burrows burst into the room 'haven't you ever heard of knocking' Jac scowled at her sister
'Not now Jac!' Jasmine turned to Zosia 'Zosh, you're needed on AAU now, it your cousin!'
'What's up?' Zosia asked
'I don't know, Bernie just said she's in the toilet and it's an emergency' Jasmine replied and Zosias eyes widened as she thought that her cousin must be hurting herself.
'Go,' Jac said noticing Zosia was scared 'do you want me to come, or to get Ollie to?'
'No' Zosia said decisively 'she's my cousin she needs me!' She ran from the office. Jac made a mental note to visit Zosia and her cousin in an hour or so, she was worried about the younger doctor. She hoped both Zosia and her cousin would be ok. She knew it was affecting Zosia more than she let on.
