Shoot I fell asleep! How long has it been? Last thing I remember was I got home before Chard kasi mahaba pa daw shift niya, huwag ko na daw siyang hintayin. I checked the time, 4am. Hmm, san na kaya yun? I checked my phone, no message, no call, nothing. Oh well, toxic siguro sa work.

I walked to the bathroom. I was inside the bathroom when I heard it, our radio alarm clock was going off. It actually made me jump a little. That's weird. It only goes off when Richard's here.

I walk towards it to turn it off. When I did, I noticed there was a letter for me beside it. Right away, I recognise the handwriting. Chard. Hay nako, ano nanamang pakulo nito... And kailan niya nilagay 'to dito?

Maybe he's just outside or something, "Chard?"

Silence...

I open it and noticed inside the folded paper was a one-way plane ticket for me to go home. Huh? Bakit ako pinapauwi nito?

Wait, I am confused. What? Why? Medyo workday po ngayon. I grabbed my phone and called him. Tsaka, ako lang ba? Hindi siya kasama? Alangan naman nauna na siya? Or nauna na ba siya?

Seryoso ba siya? I wasn't awake enough for this. With the letter and the ticket in my hand, I went outside to check if may maleta nga na nakaready.

Yep. Meron. Okay. Ano ba? It was 4 something in the morning, fuck. Okay, think Meng.

Sasakyan ko 'tong trip niya na 'to. Just this once. I wasn't the happiest person this morning. I decided I'll call Kenneth when I land maybe to let him know I won't make it to work today and pasabi na lang sa mga senior partners I'm sick.

This better be worth it Richard, I swear. I tried his phone again, wala pa rin. I got in the shower and went out of the condo a little before 5. I didn't want to call anyone else kasi it was too early and this is too ridiculous to be honest, ayoko may ibang madamay sa kalokohan niya na 'to. Ang dami kasing pakulo, alam ko anniversary pero swear romantic dinner okay namana sakin eh.

I got off the lift and just stepped out of the building when I saw a car parked with the driver holding on a piece of paper with my name on it, Maine Mendoza.

"Miss Maine?" When he saw me just staring at his sign.

"Opo, ako po yun."

"Sakto. Sakay na po kayo." He said as he opened the door for me.

When I didn't move, he took out a letter from his pocket. "Pinapabigay po ni Sir Richard." I take it and start walking into the car. "Lagay ko lang po maleta niyo sa likod."

All I could do was nod. On the way to the airport I asked the driver if he knew where Richard was. He didn't, napag-utusan lang daw siya. Great.
