Let The Games Begin

Kana doesn't even need to open her eyes to know that she is back in Itachi's room once again. His intoxicating scent is all that she needs to know that she's there. Kana feels a pair of eyes on her and immediately startles awake. In the corner of the room, Itachi is seated in a chair with his sharingan activated, and was simply staring at her sleeping.

Memories came flooding back to Kana as she remembered what had happened the previous night. Her and Itachi had gone out to collect groceries and got stopped by a kind old woman informing them about the fireworks. They stayed and watched and Itachi called Kana beautiful, then they kissed and it was magical. After that Kana rested her head on his shoulder and watched the rest of the show but barely made it through considering she fell asleep. Itachi soothingly ran his hand through her hair while she slept. After a while longer, he picked her up and carried her back to the Akatsuki hideout and let her sleep in his room. He was fascinated by her chest rising and falling with each elegant breath she took and decided to stay and watch over her, making sure nothing happened to her while she slept.

"What am I doing in here?" asks Kana as she rubs her head. She hears no response and then remembers it's Itachi she's speaking to. Of course he's not going to answer.

"Okay, fine. Don't answer me." she says and sits up straight with her back against the wall.

Suddenly, Itachi is beside the bed and is towering over her, his face inches away from hers. Kana is slow to realise what happened and her eyes quickly go wide from their close proximity.

"W-What are you-" Kana tries to find the correct words but nothing seems to come out right.

"How do you feel when you're around me? Do you always feel this nervous?" Itachi asks.

"I'm not nervous." Kana responds. Itachi grasps her wrist, feeling her fast pace pulse. He holds it up in front of her face with his large cold hand laced around her small figure.

"You can't lie to me."

"Why would you ask in the first place, if you already knew the answer?" she challenges the genius.

"I want to know if you feel it too." he says.

"Feel what?" it is something she already knows the answer to herself.  Something she has pretended not to feel.

"I know you do."

"There you go again, Itachi. Asking questions you already know the answer to. Ask me something you actually want to know."

He pauses and changes the direction of the conversation.

"You're so different. I feel protective over you, Kana. You're important." he says.

"Why do you keep pretending... trying so hard to be the bad guy? I know you're a good person... I know that behind your act of evil, there's a wonderful, loving human being." she daringly says her feelings.

"No. I'm not a good person." he slams his fist against the wall beside her, creating a bang. "I'm not the perfect person you think I am. I've done terrible things."

"I know. I know what you've done but if you were such a bad person you wouldn't have saved me from Hidan. You wouldn't have let me live when you easily could have sliced my neck. You wouldn't have let me sleep in the same bed as you and you definitely wouldn't have comforted me when I came to you crying." she pauses. "and for God's sake you wouldn't have kissed me!" she shakes her head in disbelief.

"You're so sure I'm a good person." he says and leans over the bed towards her. "-but I could do so much to you. I could ruin you so easily, Kana Namikaze. I already know that I have a hold over you." he states and brings his hand close to her face. "I could make you love me." he whispers in her ear.

"No you couldn't." she defies.

"Yes... I could easily make you fall in love with me. Just by doing this", Itachi quietly says in her ear, trailing his long slender finger across her jaw line. Subtly drawing shapes and following lines, marking his territory. Kana finds her breath stuck in her throat, feeling the need... the want, and the lust.

"And this." he hovers his mouth over her exposed neck. Kana terribly wants to kiss him again... she wants to feel his lips on her own. She can feel his warm breath breathe down on her, making her go crazy. She knows it's now or never; she has to put a stop to this insanity.

"That's where you're wrong. You couldn't make me fall for you no matter how hard you tried." The words escape her lips before she can stop them from tumbling out. At the time, she has no idea whether she's telling the truth or not... or if what she is saying is utter nonsense.

"Naïve Kana, you never seem to learn. Want to bet?" he says with a brow raised. She moves her face closer to his, a daring distance away. He knows she's ready.

"Let's see who the first to fall in love with the other will be. Get addicted, I dare you."
