*KANA'S THOUGHTS*

*FLASHBACK*

Kana's powerful left leg kick slams into Deidara's side and he stumbles away.

Her mind suddenly wanders over to Itachi. She remembers the time he was sitting down and reading a book in the kitchen. His eyes flickered up to meet her gaze and her heart skipped a beat at his breathtaking orbs.

Deidara throws a bomb at her and she notices at the very last moment, back flipping out of the way.

What the hell? Why am I thinking about Itachi Uchiha right now?

Deidara grumbles, "Jeez, you're not even paying attention. I'll go spar with someone else then, hm!" he storms off with his arms crossed over his chest like a child.

She blinks rapidly and watches him stomp away sourly.

The confused girl then takes a moment to try and clear her thoughts, but as soon as she gives in to the swirling images in her mind, all she sees is Itachi. Her mind is full of him and only him.

The feeling of his soft lips trailing all over her neck and face.

Kana's hand raises and she presses her finger into the hickey on her neck.

They're not even dating but he insists on leaving markings all over her. He wants the world to know she's taken.

Kana runs her hands through her long blonde hair and tugs at the roots in frustration. Even doing that reminds her of all the times he's run his fingers through her hair to comfort her. She can't get him out of her head.

Every smile, every moan, every whisper. Every moment of jealousy, every time he yelled at her. It's all permanently stuck in her brain.

Fuck, I'm so head over heels in love.

*ITACHI'S THOUGHTS*

*FLASHBACK*

"ACHOO!"

"Seriously, stop sneezing on me." Itachi says.

"I'm sick. You're so mean. What do you want me to do about it?" Kana retorts with annoyance. She's curled up in Itachi's bed beside him. He's reading and she's taken all the blanket and wrapped herself in it.

Itachi puts the book down and rests his large palm on top of her head. He soothingly runs his hand through her blonde locks.

Kana's cheeks burn red and she buries herself further into the blankets. His sweet gesture has already made her feel better.

"I'll get you some medicine." he announces before standing up. As soon as he leaves her side the cold overwhelms her. Instantly, her eyes widen and she quickly latches onto his hand to hold him back.

He stares down at her small cold fingers coiled around his hand.

"Wait, please don't go." her voice is soft and scared. Her eyes stare into his pleadingly.

The poor boy's heart has taken a serious hit.

"I'm not going far..." he replies.

"Don't go anywhere... ever. Don't leave me."

Wow, I'm in love with her.

*FLASHBACKS OVER! BACK TO THE PRESENT*

"THAT is when you knew you loved me!? Itachi! I had snot hanging out of my nose that whole week." Kana complains about his story.

"You looked beautiful." he says gently.

"Oh, shut up." her cheeks go red.

"Seriously. You always look beautiful." he adds.

"You're kinda cute too, I guess." she presses the tip of her nose against his and smiles happily. She pulls back. "If something as small as asking you not to leave my side made you feel so happy, I hope you're prepared to spend the rest of our lives together, Itachi." she grins.

"I am." he responds calmly.

"It's always been you. Always. You are the beginning, middle and end of my favourite story."
