Kana impatiently taps her foot on the ground with her arms crossed over her chest.

Her patience is running low.

"Kakuzu, hurry it up." she angrily mutters under her breath. As if on cue, Kakuzu pushes the heavy steel door open and walks out of the dodgy building with a bag full of money.

The blonde pinches her nose until her current partner shuts the door. "It stinks like rotting dead bodies." she releases her nose and inhales the fresh air again.

"Precisely what is inside." he responds as he fiddles with the brown bag in his hand.

"Can I hold the money!?" Kana asks excitedly.

Kakuzu narrows his eyes at her. "Would you trust a child with such a valuable amount of cash?" he rhetorically questions.

"Yes!" she grins with her arms out, ready to take the heavy bag.

"No." he sharply says before turning around and walking along the pathway.

Kana rolls her eyes at his attitude and walks to quickly catch up to him. She matches pace and travels alongside him. Kana's eyes slowly trail up to the dark and cloudy sky above.

"Looks like tonight is going to be a rainy one." she comments.

Kakuzu ignores her, staring straight forward.

"I can't wait to go home to Itachi." she lets out a happy sigh of relief.

Kakuzu says, "Unlucky. We have another bounty to collect before you get to go back to your beloved boyfriend.", emotionlessly.

Childishly, Kana drags out a long and dramatic groan. "Why!?" she exclaims.

"For money." he answers.

With a frown, she trails behind Kakuzu.

The gloomy night matches Kana's current attitude perfectly. A cool breeze brushes past her and the girl's senses are suddenly alerted.

"Where are we going?" she queries as they steer off the path and approach two large gates.

"Through this cemetery. It's a shortcut to our target's location." he answers as his strong arms heave the gigantic steel gate open.

Kana stares into his bright green eyes. "No." is all she says.

"Don't be a baby, Namikaze. Only brats act like this. Get inside." Kakuzu orders mercilessly. He has no understanding of her distaste.

"There's definitely another way. I'm not about to make an encounter with a ghost." Kana answers with certainty.

"Fine. Go find another way yourself." Kakuzu walks into the dark and eerie cemetery calmly. "And ghosts don't exist." he adds, speaking over his shoulder as he strides into the darkness.

Kana stands alone. A small creaking noise created by the gates stirs terror inside her.

"WAIT, KAKUZU! I'M COMING!" she screams and sprints into the dead silent, pitch black graveyard.

Kana hears a noise in front of her and comes to a complete standstill. She inhales sharply, and the scent that wafts up her nose is not Kakuzu's.

She experiences a feeling of impending doom.

"Kaku-" before she can finish saying his name, a cold hand touches her shoulder.

Kana squeals and spins around ready to fight a ghost.

To her surprise it's only Kakuzu.

"Stop being such a baby." he orders.

"If you're here... who's over there?" Kana asks with wide eyes.

"Nobody. Nobody is over there." he answers and turns around. He walks away from Kana.

Kakuzu suddenly comes to an abrupt stop in his tracks, and Kana soon understands why.

A small ghostly figure of a young girl hovers in front of Kakuzu.

"You see that too, right?" Kana hesitantly asks her partner. Kakuzu slowly nods, while continuing to stand still and stare in total shock.

"Are we going to die?" Kana voices her thoughts aloud.

"Uhm, no. I-I just wanted to talk." the young ghost girl mutters softly while nervously fiddling with her half-transparent fingers.
