"W-Wha... I... T-That-" Naruto is unable to form a coherent sentence after hearing the plan that Kana and Itachi have formulated.

His last living relative is sending herself to her death.

Throughout the explanation, Killer Bee remained seated on the ground to keep baby Rei occupied. He played peekaboo and all sorts of little games with the angelic Uchiha baby. During certain moments of Kana and Itachi's speech, he would stop and look up at them in disbelief.

"Kabuto was trying to control us by communicating with us through our minds. Itachi and I broke free a few minutes after the jutsu was performed, so he has no idea where we are or what we're doing. We have complete free rein right now." she informs Naruto.

Both Itachi and Kana are more in tune with their bodies than the average shinobi. Spending endless years training in every aspect, has resulted in amazing abilities. They simply blocked snake boy out of their psyche.

Kabuto greatly underestimated two of the world's most feared ninja.

"A-And you plan on doing this... all with Reika?" Naruto glances over at the giggling baby seated on the ground in front of Bee. "And while you're unable to see?" he gazes seriously at his aunty. "I won't let you do this. This whole stupid war is my fault. I don't want or need to be protected."

"Look, Naru. We don't have much of a choice at this point. The war has begun and people are fighting to protect you whether you want them to or not. They made their own decisions because they know how valuable and important you are to the village. And it's not just because you're a jinchuriki." Kana explains to her doubtful nephew.

The Village loves Naruto and everything he stands for. Until recently he was considered an outcast, but when he rose up and protected his home from Pain, everyone saw the will of fire within him. He saved many lives and people are forever in debt to him for it.

"We have nowhere else we can send Rei." Itachi answers Naruto's earlier question.

In disagreement, Naruto shakes his head. "I can make a shadow clone and keep her safe further away. Now that I'm in nine tails chakra mode, my clones are really powerful." his suggestion is similar to Deidara's earlier one.

Kana hesitates. If anything happens to the real Naruto, his shadow clone will disappear and leave Rei vulnerable and too far from her parents to be protected.

Just as Kana is about to decline, Killer Bee rises from the ground and stands up. "Although I don't know you two, your daughter is pretty cool. I'm willing to make a shadow clone, or two." he rhymes. At this, Rei claps and giggles.

Itachi's and Kana's thoughts overlap.

Naruto is hotheaded, so it wouldn't be surprising if he jumped head on into a fight and ended up unconscious, eliminating his shadow clones. However, Killer Bee is a much more strategic fighter as they saw when he had the short dispute with Kana and even managed to land a hit on her.

If Bee is willing to give a clone also, Rei might just be safe under their care for a while.

"We'll stay on the move with her, so we won't be easy to track. We will get as far away from danger as we can, and if something goes wrong and our clones get defeated, the information will come directly back to us and we can tell you, and you can flash to the location." as Naruto speaks he moves his hands violently to emphasise his thoughts and desperation. "I know that you and Itachi are strong. Trust me, I know, but what comes with that is danger wherever you go. I don't want Reika to get hurt."

After knowing their child for only an short amount of time Naruto has already developed the innate sense that he must protect her.

"Okay." Itachi and Kana say in unison.

"I trust you Naruto, and I don't know you very well, Bee, but I do know that you're strong. We're putting the life of our only child in your hands. Be careful. Thank you both." she says gratefully.

Kana bends down closer to her daughter. "I just want to see you again, baby girl." she murmurs to her with sadness. Rei touches her mother's sad face and mimics her expression. Rei's pouts and shows feelings of despondency. Her mien is almost identical to her mothers.

As she rises again, Itachi interlaces his finger's with Kana's and gently rubs his thumb along her hand. "It's okay. You will." he comforts lovingly. She nods her head at his words of reassurance.

"Yeah! Don't worry, Kana. We'll find a way to get your eyesight back! Just you wait!" Naruto enthusiastically exclaims. He whacks his fist into his open palm with determination. She can perfectly envision his cheesy grin and closed eyes.

"Thank you, Nar-"

Before she can finish a wave of unease hits Kana, and forces her to collapses onto her knees. She holds her pounding head in her hands.

"Kana? Kana, what's wrong?" Itachi rubs circles on her back and quickly kneels down beside her. Bee and Naruto watch with concern.

The excruciating pain is linked to her eyes. She opens them slightly and her vision has changed.

Everything's blurry, completely foggy and it is still too hard to see anything, but it's somewhat returned. Something is different now.

Kana looks up from the ground and blinks rapidly. Her irises are still white. "The ninja, the one that took my eyesight... he's back."
