CHAPTER FIFTY SIX
The End of the Beginning

"Can you go away? We're kind of in the middle of something." Kana calls out nonchalantly.
Although her voice portrays calmness, the girl's intense and consuming electric blue eyes make them flinch. She's standing under a tree with little Raidon holding her hand. Her Akatsuki cloak doesn't fit all the way around her bulging waist.
"Are you pregnant? I didn't know any Akatsuki members were pregnant." the ninja slightly in front of the rest observes. Captain, maybe?
In annoyance, she rolls her eyes at his stupid statement. "Yeah, nice observation skills buddy. In case you didn't know, it's really not healthy to stress out a pregnant woman due in a three weeks. You should probably go." she shrugs and releases Raidon's hand.
"Nice try." he responds and whips out a kunai.
Yeah, like that's gonna save his life.
"Seriously, get lost." she snarls.
The powerful female does not like to be defied. Ever.
Itachi sighs and holds his palm against his forehead. "Look what you did."
"If you aren't gone by the time I count down to one, you're dead." her bold statement shocks them momentarily. Who does this pregnant woman think she is, threatening three qualified shinobi?
"Three."
"We aren't scared of you." he fires.
"You should be.", says Pain.
"Two." she raises her eyebrow.
He turns to his teammates. "She's just a pregnant girl. Go get her."
"Big mistake, un."
"One."
Kana uses an swift earth style jutsu to make the tree branch they are on collapse. Their bodies slam into the ground. She then weaves the signs for the water dragon jutsu and the roaring beast hurdles towards the three men who are momentarily dazed and on the floor.
"Lightning Style: Chidori Stream." she announces as the lightning release flows into the water dragon.
The three useless shinobi are electrocuted all over their bodies and die instantly.
Raidon claps his hands together and stares at Kana in amazement.
"Woooow! Teach me, Kana!" he pleads while jumping up and down and jogging on the spot.
"Very impressive, Kana." Pain gives his stamp of approval.
"YES, THAT'S MY BEST FRIEND! HM! YEAH, THATS WHAT I THOUGHT!" Deidara shouts at the dead men on the floor.
Kisame claps and Karin lets out a sigh of relief that no Akatsuki members were hurt.
"Yes, I know." the blonde giggles. "All bow down to the Kana Almighty..." her voice strains into a whisper towards the end of her sentence.
"Are you okay?" Karin sprints to stand by her side.
"Yeah, that was weird." Kana responds and glances down at her belly. "I thought-"
"Un! Why are you peeing?" Deidara points to the water trickling down Kana's inner thigh.
"Wait," Sasori comments as he observes the situation.
"Are you-" Itachi steps forward with wide eyes.
"I think she's-" Kisame starts.
"I'm having the baby." Kana confirms with certainty.
