"So, if that guy up there is the real Madara, that means... the guy who we thought was Madara... isn't actually him?" Naruto expresses his confused thoughts aloud to Gaara who remains beside him.

Thousands of shinobi from the Allied Force are below the reanimated Madara. He is standing on a cliff with his arms crossed, staring down at the large assemble as if they are merely a colony of ants.

A bright scintillating yellow flare momentarily blinds the cohort of shinobi.

Kana appears in front of the Allied Shinobi Force, but the only thing anyone sees is a bright flash of yellow then her Akatsuki cloak slowly swaying in the wind.

"Akatsuki!" someone in the crowd shouts warningly.

Kana raises her arm out to the side, signalling for them to remain still behind her without uttering another word.

Silently, she gazes up at reanimated Madara in his Glory Days form. Her sharp eyes cautiously examine him head to toe. His dark spiked hair, his armoured clothing, his eyes.

"K-Kana! You're here!" Naruto's clone exclaims in surprise at her appearance.

She twists her head around to look at her nephew and the thousands of shinobi gathered behind him.

Kana wears a slightly pained expression.

"I am here to fight Madara." she states.

Gasps and low murmurs are heard throughout the crowd in an instant.

"Don't be reckless, Kana. You can't beat Madara Uchiha." Gaara warns her intently. "Fight alongside us, not alone. Otherwise, you have no hope."

Kana listens to his words but does not respond to the Kazekage. She turns back around, as she can sense that the legendary Madara Uchiha is about to speak.

"My dear Kana. You've grown into a woman." he observes her with his dangerous Sharingan eyes. Kana unwaveringly stares back.

"A mother." she responds. Madara raises an eyebrow at her words. "I've grown into a woman and become a mother to a beautiful baby. A little Uchiha girl." Kana tells him calmly.

Madara smiles at this. "The heir to the throne." he states. "Come now, my Kana. Stop this foolish act of defiance against your Sensei. Project Tsuki no Me will fall into place with you by our side, and we will rule the world together as we were always destined to." he extends his hand out toward her.

"Whose side is she on?" someone behind murmurs with hesitation and uncertainty towards the blonde female before them.

Kana takes a slow breath of air and glances down at the ground.

Madara can tell that she is deep in thought.

After a seemingly long moment of silence, a warm breeze gushes past everyone. Rather than cool air, everyone's bodies are met with a feeling of warmth. The homely air makes the shinobi all feel calm, as if they are being lovingly hugged.

Each person can feel that she has made her decision.

Kana looks back up at Madara. "What you said to me the first day we met, sensei... is true. I understand that more than ever before now. The youth are the ones who will carry the future, bring about bewildering change to the world, and unite all. The youth is the key to shaping the outcome of this war. You were right. Madara, I have but one fragment of my wisdom to bestow on you.", she repeats his words. "You will not be victorious in this war. You will not strip the innocent people of their right to live. You will not destroy what cost thousands of shinobi's lives to create. In this war, I will take every battle and every fight head on to protect my daughter, husband, and loved ones. I will unwaveringly stand tall and fight to protect the families of every great nation, the elderly, the teenagers, the adults, mothers, the fathers... the children and the youth. This world is ours, Madara. And it's why I am choosing to fight alongside the Shinobi Alliance Force, the Five Kage, and the world... against you."

Madara clenches his jaw in anger. "You are selfish. After taking you under my wing and overseeing your training for years, after raising you... You dare to turn your back on me now. The earth will crumble beneath your feet, Kana Namikaze. The decision you made today will cost you your life."
