CHAPTER EIGHTY FIVE

"Kana..." Naruto mutters in shock after hearing the speeches given by both her and Madara Uchiha. He raised her? Oversaw he training? Naruto is bewildered and confused out of his mind, but he does know one thing for sure. "You're not alone. Don't fight Madara by yourself."

Kana twists her head to look at him and showcases a reassuring closed-eye smile, a Naruto Uzumaki classic.

"I know I'm not alone, Naru, but this is my fight. I'm the only one that can do this. It's master versus student."

He furrows his eyebrows in confusion, as he is yet to hear the story of Kana's recollected memories. Naruto is still unaware of where his aunty disappeared to for all those years.

"Get back!" she shouts to the Allied Shinobi Force.

With no present hesitation, they scurry backwards as quickly as possible to avoid being caught in the impending crossfire.

These two fight messily.

"Come on down here, Madara. Let's dance."

Kana reaches into her leg pouch and throws a kunai straight at the cliff her old sensei stands on. The paper bomb attached to the kunai activates and the rock crumbles to pieces.

Madara makes a clean dive off the ledge advancing straight towards Kana.

He's at full speed.

Kana slides her feet along the floor to widen the seperation to keep herself stable on the ground. Otherwise, she would likely fall backwards from the incredible speed he's moving towards her at.

"Where are you going to flash to, hm?" he asks snarkily as he quickly approaches.

Kana's left foot shifts slightly.

Madara undoubtedly sees this subtle movement and locks onto it. He sticks his leg out and increases his speed further to slam his foot into her before she can flash away.

To get there first, Madara's body is slanted backward and is aiming for Kana's left after he noticed her flinch in the direction.

His downward speed amplifies and the crowd of allied shinobi behind Kana are pushed back by the sudden gush of intense wind he creates just by flying down to her.

He draws nearer with his foot extended and is about to kick, when Kana suddenly swivels to the right side.

"I'm not running, Madara." she states as she steps out of the kick's line and grabs onto his leg. Kana takes the momentum he already has, spins on her heel, and swings him up into the sky.

As she does this, lightning flows heavily through her arms and hands.

Shinobi in the crowd gasp. "Incredible." they murmur. "This is what a true fight between two powerhouse shinobi is like..." comments are made in utter amazement.

Madara grins deviously in the air. "You've remembered your powers, have you!? The powers I helped you release!"

Kana focuses chakra to her feet and leaps high to towards her dangerous opponent.

Being detached from the ground and jumping straight toward him for this short moment makes Kana vulnerable.

Madara uses his Uchiha fire jutsu in an attempt to burn her and slow her down. Instead of getting affected by the inferno flames, Kana emerges with her entire body lit on fire.

"Your power really is quite troublesome, my student. I feel a sense of regret, informing you of your incredible ability was my mistake."

"What power is he talking about? His jutsu set her on bloody fire!" a Sunakagure ninja exclaims to himself.

A byakugan wielding Leaf Ninja stares up in the air at the two trading heavy blows. "No, that's not from his jutsu. She is expelling chakra infused flames from all over her body."

The Sunagakure man turns to the Leaf Ninja in disbelief. "You're lying... there's nobody in the world that can do something like that." he counters.

Kana lands a punch on Madara's cheek and the Allied Shinobi force feel a shake in the earth from it.

The Leaf man does not take his eyes off the intense battle as he speaks, "My Byakugan can see normal chakra circuits in the human body. Her body is different. Rather than having a normal line of flow streaming inside her, all of her chakra is formation less and messy. It travels all throughout her body and can be released wherever, whenever. She has copious amounts and can change the nature of her chakra easily. Right now she is making chakra flow out from inside her in the form of fire. I would never, ever want to fight her. Even if I struck her chakra circuit, it wouldn't have any affect on her, because her chakra has no flow and is everywhere."

Kana throws her arms up and blocks Madara's monstrous punch but suffers the painful consequences. "God!" she exclaims from his tremendous strength which instantly bruised her skin, if not broke a bone.

"Yes, I am." he replies before weaving signs. "Fire Style: Dragon Flame Caterwaul." he chants as erratic dragon-headed fireballs cover the front, left and right of Kana.

"That doesn't work on me, Madara!" she tells and creates fire in her hands, stopping the fireballs with her own flames.

Kana is momentarily distracted by his jutsu and fails to realise that Madara has moved, until she can't see him anymore.

They are both still transcending from high in the air.

Madara appears on top of Kana and lifts his leg high, swinging it straight down onto her head.

Kana senses him just in time.

"Rising Rock!" she slams her open palms together and two huge rocks rise up from the ground and fly towards Madara. Kana then puts her hand in the tiger sign in front of her lips and blows hard, expelling fire from her mouth.

The ascending boulders light on fire.

Kana has to remember to stay calm and not act irrationally. If she gets too excited or freaks out for even a moment, Madara will end her.

Stay focused, Kana. Focus. she calms herself.

Madara narrowly avoids her attack before they both land on the solid ground again, thankfully.

Kana closes her eyes.

A second later, she snaps them open and blinks rapidly at her newly viewed surroundings.

"She's entered Sage Mode." Naruto comments.

Her purple tinted hair returns and her horns become present.

"My Kana, you've entered Sage Mode for me? I'm honoured. I suppose I should do something special for you in return, no?" he addresses her new form.

Following his words, Madara's Mangekyo Sharingan awakens abruptly.

An enormous blue skeletal Susano'o configures to completely protect and encase him.

"Sage VS Susano'o." Madara states with a heinous smirk.
