"If you don't look after her like you promised-" Itachi's deep, kind of extremely perfect voice is stern.

"Itachi, when have I ever let you down? On my life, I swear you will return to a safe and healthy Kana, and safe and healthy baby." Kisame flashes his shark-like teeth with a grin and ushers his friend to leave the base.

"Bye. Be safe." Kana instructs her man. The two said their goodbyes earlier, when nobody was around.

"You too." Uchiha responds before turning around and taking a step away. Before he takes another, he turns around and quickly kisses her passionately. He squats down and presses his lips gently to the large baby bump. Only after that does he actually leave.

Kisame comfortingly pats her on the shoulder. "It's only four days. Don't worry."

"I'm not worried. I survived perfectly fine without Itachi for twenty years. I think all of you are more worried than I am." she confidently replies before skipping excitedly to the kitchen.

Kisame trails behind her.

"You don't have to follow me everywhere." the blondie adds and grabs an apple from the refrigerator.

"Itachi's orders." he answers.

She opens her mouth to say something when a few bangs are heard at the waterfall entrance. Kana furrows her eyebrows in confusion and wonders what the noise was.

"You stay he-" Kisame stands up from his seated position on the stool.

"Stay here." Kana cuts him off and is already halfway towards the entrance by the time he has gotten off the chair.

"Damn. She's fast." he sprints to catch up to her casual walking pace.

There is no visible damage anywhere at the front of the base. Kana wasn't expecting anyone to have made it inside anyway.

She parts the water straight through the middle using her insane water-element control.

"Hey! Don't you think we should have talked about this? What if someone is here to kill you?" Kisame asks, mildly frantically. If he allows even a scratch to appear on her body... Itachi will take Samehada off his back and slice him to shreds with his own sword.

Kisame shivers at the thought.

Day after day, Kana forgets that she can't heal as fast as usual because of her lacking chakra. She's still too careless with her body because she isn't familiar with not being able to fight like normal.

She nonchalantly shrugs her shoulders. "Then we beat them to it.", an evil smirk makes the corner of her lip curl up.

The water completely parts.

They both intently glance around and see nothing.

Then, a small sniffle is heard from just below their eye levels.

A small blonde spikey haired boy is standing there with tears streaming down his terrified face.

"Help!" he hiccups and stares up at the two through teary eyes. "I lost my mommy," he wails.

Kana and Kisame look at each other in shock, then back at the child.

Who the hell is this?
