Strengthening Bonds

"Yes, Pain?" Kana says after trailing behind him to the hallway away from the rest of the eating members.

"Your first mission." he responds. Kana's ears perk up at this and her attention is undivided.

"You are to attack each of the Akatsuki members. You may be more than capable of defeating them, but this will be a test of the members' and your strength. If you succeed and can defeat each of them, you will become and official Akatsuki member." he explains plain and simply.

Finally. I've been wanting to show them what I'm made of.
Kana thinks with excitement. Besides, it would bring her and the other members closer together by a friendly fight. It could be a chance to strengthen their bonds.

"How will you know if I defeat them? What if they lie to you, or something?" Kana asks curiously.

"I'll be watching the fights. If it gets too out of hand I will end it."

"You'll know when the fights are taking place?"

"It is not that hard to sense your massive amout of chakra clashing with another." he answers and walks away.

This outta be fun.

She thinks and skips off to the kitchen. Everyone has already dispersed and left nothing in sight but clean dishes as a thank you for breakfast.

Kana closes her eyes and listens in for where each of the members are.

So, Deidara's at the training field, huh? I might as well just take him down now, then.

Kana thinks and flashes to the destination. Sure enough Deidara is there kicking a dummy. He's not very good at taijutsu, as his specialty lies in the area of long distance combat. Bombs.

She conceals her chakra and observes. After a while of observation she decides now is a better time than never to attack. She jumps from tree to tree until she gets to the branch directly above Deidara. She silently leaps down, ready to tackle him from above.

Deidara notices at the very last second and jumps out of the way.

"Kana, un! What are you doing!?" he demands and stands normally. Instead of standing like that, Kana's in a full, dropped down low, fighting stance. He takes note of this and gets a little worried.

"Kana-!" he yells but unluckily for him, she has already started weaving hand signs.

"Tora, Ushi, Saru, U, Hitsuji, I, Ushi, Uma, Saru, Tora, Uma, Tora, Tatsu, Tora, Ushi, Saru, U, Tori." Kana chants quickly along while performing the equivalent hand signs.

"Water Style: Giant Vortex Jutsu!" immediately after she says this a massive water vortex, hence the name, appears and takes out Deidara. She frowns, feeling very upset that she hurt the only person in the organisation she feels she can genuinely trust.

"WHAT THE HELL, KANA, HM!?" he yells and attempts to tackle her to the ground. Kana backflips out of the way.

Deidara refuses to hurt her. Yet he's still angry that Kana would just turn her back on him and start attacking him randomly.

Maybe she was playing innocent but wanted to attack us the whole time.

Deidara thinks as he jumps out of the way of her kicks and punches.

"Too slow." she comments and kicks him square in the stomach. He coughs up blood and falls backwards. Kana walks up to him and draws her sword out, ready to strike.
