#40 - Fingers
I
I watched you smile and laugh.
It seemed like not to fall was very tough.
I shook my head and closed my eyes.
You were just a friend who was being nice.
II
You seemed to look at me very differently.
You always treated me like I was lovely.
I became to look at you the same way.
Fear and doubt came in the way.
III
I was a girl who was afraid to fall
And you were a boy who knew it after all.
Still you smiled and firmly held my hand
And jumped without looking if there was land.
IV
As our fingers were interlocked,
You just made my heart unlocked.
I knew if this continues, I would be in pain
But it seemed like I didn't listen to my brain.
V
There was a branch where you were stuck.
That was the reason why everything had stopped.
Then you realized you didn't want to fall anymore.
One by one, your fingers weren't holding anymore.
