#84 - Lost
I
Should I turn to left or to right?
Go straight or turn back, which was right?
My face bathed in the moonlight.
My skin tingled from the coldest night.
II
Where did you go?
Why did you even go?
My legs felt frozen, and numb.
I realized I looked so dumb.
III
I sat on the icy granite
Sniffed the ozone air of night.
As I closed my eyes, I thought of you,
And the moment when you said, "I love you."
IV
What happened to those lovely words?
Why did they become sharp swords?
Pierced and impaled my heart,
Heartlessly ripped it, part by part.
V
The mist seemed to cover my eyes.
Maybe that was why I didn't see your lies.
I was lost by way your eyes shone.
I thought it was for me, and me alone.
