Maaga akong nagising pero hindi ako makabangon dahil mahigpit ang yakap sa akin ni Vince na tulog na tulog pa rin. It's five in the morning but I don't want to sleep anymore. Gusto kong tumayo na at magluto ng almusal pero ayoko namang magising si Vince.

I raised my right hand and slowly traced his face from his forehead down to his chin. He frowned but he's still sleeping. Bahagya siyang gumalaw para mas yakapin pa ako lalo. I smiled and traced his face again, he frowned but didn't move. Ilang sandali ay tinigilan ko na 'yun at hinayaan siyang matulog ng payapa.

I took a deep breath as I turned my hand and looked at the diamond ring on my finger. He's wearing the other ring. It's a symbol that I am really married to him. I am tied to him.

I agreed. I accepted him not because I pity him but because I want him to be happy. And if accepting him can make him happy... to save him from his dark past, then I'll gladly give this to him.

Ibinalik ko ang tingin ko sa kanya. My heart suddenly ached seeing him sleeping beside me peacefully. He looks like a vulnerable innocent child when he's sleeping. I wonder, how many people see him at this state? Did he let other people see his vulnerable side too? Or maybe he's keeping it to himself... tama... he's only keeping it to himself.

He's facing all the pain and brokenness alone. That's why he's lonely.

In my life, my mother taught me that I can give what I have to others. I experience love and happiness from the people around me. And now I think... it's time for me to step up and share it to the person who needs it the most.

Sabi nila, you can't give what you don't have. If he wants... me and his child to be happy then he needs to experience it first. Kaya hindi ko na iyon ipagkakait pa sa kanya. After all, he deserves to be loved and happy too.

Bumaba ang tingin ko sa labi niya. Unti-unti kong nilapit ang mukha ko sa kanya... I just want to kiss him... Unti-unting bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko kasabay ng paglapit ko sa kanya. I closed my eyes...

"What are you doing?" his husky bedroom voice stopped me.

I opened my eyes. Nanlaki ang mata ko at bahagyang napaatras ng makita siyang gising. Lalayo na sana ako sa kanya pero pinigilan niya ako. Namumungay pa ang mga mata niya pero... he suddenly smirked.

"Wa-wala..." sagot ko at plano ko na sanang itulak siya pero hindi niya ako hinayaan.

"Wala? Are you planning to kiss me while I'm sleeping?" he teasingly asked.

Lalong nanlaki ang mata ko. Lumapad ang ngisi sa kanyang mukha.

"Hindi ah!" asik ko. "Bakit ko naman 'yun gagawin?"

"Bakit ka defensive? I'm just asking..." he chuckled. "Okay. Matutulog na lang ulit ako para matuloy mo 'yung plano. Kung alam ko lang sana nagpanggap na lang akong tulog, it kinda excites me knowing that you'll initiate the kiss." he widely smiled and closed his eyes.

Napaismid ako sa sinabi niya at bahagyang hinampas siya sa balikat.

Nakakahiya kaya!

"I will not do that!" singhal ko. "Babangon na ako kaya tanggalin mo na 'yang yakap mo sa akin. Magluluto ako ng almusal nating dalawa."

"Ayoko. Kiss ko muna?" parang batang sambit niya.

"Ano ba?"

"Bahala ka, di kita bibitawan." aniya at mas hinigpitan pa ang yakap sa akin.
