I looked at her from head to toe at gusto kong magmura because she look so different from before.

Inirapan niya lang ako. And fiery too. I like fiery.

How could a quiet person be this talkative? She's quite a drinker too. The way she could drink and laugh with Michael and everyone else says it all. She is indeed different from other girls.

But it's every time she sees me that her laughter turns into a scoff and I could say that she mastered the eye rolling already.

Fuck. Bakit ako natuturn on pag iniirapan niya ako or pag sinasamaan niya ako ng tingin. Kakabreak lang namin ni Erielle but looking at her could make me forget all of that.

"Galit pa rin ata sayo si Jade. Ikaw naman kasi eh!"

"May sira lang sa ulo 'yang kaibigan mo." Tumawa ako.

"Eh bat tingin ka ng tingin sa kanya? Naku Tantan ha!"

Bago pa kami maging close ni Jade ay sinisimulan na ni Tiffany ang pangaasar niya.

I couldn't even talk to her. Moreover be close to her.

I'm not shy but how am I suppose to when she's like that.

But I'd always loved challenge. And she's a challenge to me. It's a challenge to get her talk to me.

It was a surprise when she suddenly became nice to me. Nababawasan na tuloy ang madalas na pagirap niya which I really like from her. But it's nice seeing her smile too.

This feeling is not new to me. I played some tricks back in grade school because I want to get her attention. Now that I think of it, I was kind of childish.

It's funny because until now I still want her attention. As much as I like seeing her rolling her eyes at me, I want her to talk to me too.

Now I know why, akala ko parte lang siya ng pagkabata ko but when I saw her at Michael's house for the first time, I was damned.

I'd always had my eyes on her. Not Rhian, not Tiffany but only her. She's very much like Tiffany but Tiffs was not the girl who don't like talking back then, hindi siya 'yung babaeng gusto kong iniinis, hindi siya si Jade.

First love never dies. Cliche. But that's totally what happened to me. I know I like her the moment I laid my eyes on her.

I love her. Even after I knew that she lied, I still do. My answer was always Jade and that has never change.

That was always my answer.

xx

"You ready?"

"Let's go? Baka malate tayo."

"Hindi pa ako ready. Teka, sumasakit tyan ko." Hinawakan niya ang tyan niya thinking she could back out. But I will not let her.

Tinawanan ko siya at hinila. "Tara na. Kaya mo 'yan!"

"Sige na iuwi mo na 'yan sa inyo. Good luck, girl."

I invited her for dinner because it's my parents' anniversary today.

"Huy, kailangan bang magdala ng something? Nakakahiya naman kung pupunta lang ako dun ng walang dala."

I want to laugh at her because she's worrying a lot.

"It's okay. We're just going to have dinner."

"Kahit na! Just anything! Like cake or ano."

She kept bugging me what to bring but really, all my parents wants is to meet her.

"Jade!" I stopped her. "All you need to do is just be yourself. Bakit ka ba kinakabahan? Hindi ka nila kakainin." I tried to joke para mabawasan ang kaba niya pero pinalo niya ako.

"Don't mind me. Kinakabahan lang talaga ako. Shit totoong sumasakit na ata tyan ko." Then she made a face.

This is why I'll never get tired of her. She really is entertaining. She never cease to amaze me with her antics.

As much as I want to cancel and just spend the night with her, I can't because this is really important for my family.

"You okay?" I chuckled because she looks constipated.

Hinawakan ko ang kamay niya when she didn't answer.

"They will like you."

"Sinasabi mo lang 'yan sympre." Pinakita niya sa akin ang palad niya. "Tignan mo naman. "

"Chill. Just trust me on this. I'm sure they will like you because I do."

Kinakabahan pa rin si Jade hanggang sa makarating kami so I held her hand. But she became confident the moment she saw them.

That's my girl, I want to say.

"Good evening po. Happy anniversary, Tito, Tita."

"She's beautiful. Kaya mo pala tinatago."

Tinignan ko ang naging reaksyon ni Jade. She's cute when she's embarrassed.

Mama first started the conversation with Jade but she's a natural. She knows how to talk to my parents which made me love her more.

Hindi niya kailangan kabahan because she's a smooth talker. My dad likes her too because he keeps on smiling which is a bit odd.

"Ayaw nang pauwiin ng Mama mo si Jade." Dad teased Mom for too much talking.

"Let's leave the young ones, hmm?"

"Naku okay lang po." She laughed.

I leaned and whispered, "How about alone time for us and my parents? Let's go, Jade."

"Alright. Go."

Hindi ko maalis ang tingin ko sa kanya because she really is beautiful and I'm talking about inside and out. I can't stop smiling too.

Jade is making me look like an idiot.

"Crush mo nanaman ako niyan?"

"Maganda ka ba?"

"Hindi mo narinig 'yung Mama mo? Sabi niya maganda ako. You should try listening to your Mom."

"Let me see." I grabbed her face and pinched her cheeks.

"Tristan!" Then she hit me.

Tumakbo ako at hinabol niya ako. The sound of Jade's laughter is all I could hear right now.

I hope we can be like this even after 10 years, 20 and hell even 50.

Her laugh is everything for me. Jade is my everything.
