We’re on our way home now. Gian’s sitting right next to me, he’s wearing headset like what he usually do. Looking at the window with no expression on his face. Ako naman, quiet watching all the places we’ve been passing through. Walang ibang pumapasok sa isipan ko ngayon kundi ang tanong na kelan ko ulit makikita ang babaeng nabangga ko kanina. I took her hanky out of my pocket then stared at the letters engraved on it.

After a while, I glanced at the window. I was shocked who I have seen outside. IT’S HER!

She’s riding on a bicycle wearing frowns on her face. She looks so sad and I felt curious about it. She suddenly stops and looked on our direction. I smiled hoping that she can see me. But, her expression doesn’t change.

“Gian!”

I tap Gian’s shoulder. He took off her headset out of his ears then looked at me.

“Why?”

“Do the people outside can see us?” I asked him.

“No! Why? This car is using tinted glasses for us to be able secure and safe. Why’d you ask?”

“Nothing! Forget about it”

He put his headset on his ears again and continued what he is doing before. I looked again on the girl I was talking to but it was too late. We’re too far from her position, but she still watching us until we finally reached the end of the road. Ano kayang tinitingnan niya? Looks like she knows who’s inside of these cars.

As we finally arrived home, I saw Lola sitting on the table at the garden. We both rushed into her.

“Hi Lola!” I said.

“Rain!” I kissed on her chicks.

“How’re you doing Lola?” Gian asked her.

“Nothing! I’m just relaxing my mind! How about you guys? How’s school?”

Gian didn’t answer but instead he looked at me. I know what he’s trying to mean of. He doesn’t want to open up about the commotion happened at the cafeteria during our break time with the girl I didn’t know.

“Everything’s good! I enjoy my first day in school” I lied.

“Yes! He’s quiet enjoying the environment of his new school” Gian said.

“By the way Lola, I’ll go up to change my clothes!” I said.

“Me too!” Gian 2nd motion.

“No Gian! You stay here. We have something to talk about! And Rain, you may now go!”

“Ok po!”

Gian sat beside Lola.

“What’s that something we have to talk about Lola?” I heard Gian’s voice.

“About the family dinner tomorrow night” Lola answered.

After that, wala na ‘kong narinig na iba pa. Pumasok na ‘ko sa loob ng Mansion then started to get quiet interested about the family dinner I heard.

Kinagabihan, Gian knocked on my room. He told me about the family dinner to be held tomorrow night. A family dinner together with a very special family, like what Lola said. As he telling me those things, I noticed the sadness in his eyes. I know something might happen on that dinner. I feel that it’s not an ordinary dinner. I feel like explosion might appear on that night.
