Thirty Four

Courtney's P.O.V

The last few days hadn't been too eventful. Of course, Samantha and Baekhyun had been their usual lovey dovey selves while D.O and I had our awkward moments for some reason. However, the most awkward thing was the moments between WinWin and I. We weren't even a couple, yet we had made out twice, one time by accident but it still happened. But to add on top of the awkwardness of that he has been sneaking up to my room at night to cuddle with me "as friends" as he says. After all of that, we always go back to being casual acquaintances after everything that happens. It was days later before I came to the realization that I had kissed a werewolf and I had been sleeping in the same bed as one. All I could wonder was if this was even real and if so then what the heck was I doing with my life? All of these thoughts went away until I went into my science class and saw him sitting in the seat next to mine as usual.

As soon as he saw me, he blushed and waved at me shyly as I walked to my seat. "Hi Courtney" he said as I sat down and greeted him back. "How was your night?" he whispered into my ear as he made sure no one else was looking. "It was good I guess" I said as I raised an eyebrow at him while he grabbed my hand and held it under the desk where no one could see. "Did you sleep well?" He asked as he winked at me, making me kind of uncomfortable at his sudden flirty actions, especially since we weren't even together. I was about to say something before the teacher walked in and started her usual boring speech so instead I just nodded and pulled my hand away from his as I turned around.

As the teacher began to discuss some things about our projects and WinWin was finally distracted with taking notes rather than staring at me as usual, I decided to text D.O. For some reason he had been ignoring me the past few days and I wasn't sure why. 'Hey, did I do something wrong? 'Why won't you talk to me?' 'Kyungsoo!!!' I texted him but still no response. He just left me on read every time which made me feel this tear in my chest like my heart was hurting. I missed talking to him and he was ignoring my texts and calls and every time I try to confront him in the hallway, he just brushes me off and acts like I am not even there, which hurts even more.

As I was about to give up and go back to copying notes off of WinWin, I got a text. I checked it and realized it was an unknown number. 'Courtney noona!' it read. I glanced around the room as everyone was still taking notes before I began to type back. 'Who is this and how did you get my number? How do you even know my name?' I typed as quick as I could. I watched as the three little dots appeared on the screen, showing that the person was typing back before I received another message. 'Woah, so many questions' it said. 'Yeah, so answer them' I said getting agitated at the fact that I had no idea who I was talking to.

Unknown: Okay, okay

Unknown: This is Jaemin, I am not sure if you would remember me or not but I was one of the kids you were forced to "babysit". You know, one of the werewolf kids.

Me: Yeah, I remember you. You were the smiley one.

Unknown: Yep, that is me.

Unknown: Now put my number in your phone rn!

Me: Okay okay

Me: There, it is done.

Jaemin: Yay!

Me: Now answer me this question. How did you get my number?

Jaemin: Oh, that... I looked through WinWin hyung's phone and I took an educated guess that Courtney with a heart emoji was you.

Me: Oh...

Me: But why a heart?

Jaemin: I think we all know the reason behind that

Me: Ummm.... Anyways, what are you texting me for? Speak child

Jaemin: Okay so I need your help.
