Eight

Courtney's P.O.V

I was pretty sure that we were about to die as soon as one of them pulled out a knife and started pointing it at Samantha. He asked her basically the same questions that he had asked me while he continued to point the knife threateningly. I noticed that Samantha had started to cry as the man began to drag the knife down her neck. 'This was the end.' I thought, knowing that these men were about to kill us right then and there. 'Why did the boys have to leave us here? Why did they have to be involved with these guys? Why did we have to be involved with any of this?' These were all of the thoughts that were running through my mind as I tried my best to remain calm.

That was until I heard a voice coming from the end of the alley way. "If you cut one inch of her skin, you won't live to regret it!" I heard the voice yell. The man with the knife instantly looked towards where this voice was coming from as we all soon did the same. "What in the hell are you all doing here?!" he yelled as he continued to look menacingly towards what I now saw was a group of boys. 'Could it be Taeyong and his group? Maybe they came back for us.' I thought as my vision started to come into focus. I watched as the group of people continued to walk quickly towards us when I noticed that it was the group of boys from school, I think they were called 'EXO' or something like that. Either way, I was relieved to see them. Though I did wonder why they were here in a random alleyway in the middle of the night.

I looked over at Samantha as she sighed in relief, only to notice that she was staring at Baekhyun. I smiled a little as I watched her fangirl over this boy. Suddenly the man who was holding me back tightened his grip on my arms, causing me to wince in pain. "And don't you dare touch her ever again." I heard a voice say. I looked over to see D.O walking towards me as he glared at the man. He pushed him off of me and gave him a threatening look as he began to walk me over to the group of boys. The boy that was holding Samantha quickly backed down, not wanting a fight. She ran the quickest that I had ever seen her run as she made her way towards where me and the boys were standing.

"I don't know what your problem is, but you need to back off." Suho said as he got up in the tallest man's face. They began to shove each other until the other boys pulled both of them off. "We were just obeying the elders." the shortest one said as he walked towards where we were standing, eyeing us up and down. D.O and Baekhyun stepped in front of us protectively as they gave him the death glare. "Again with these elders, who are they and why are they so important?" I whispered to Samantha, earning me confused looks from Chanyeol, Sehun and Lay who were standing closest to me. "Obeying the elders! They have done absolutely nothing for you, for any of us!" I heard Suho yell as I was trying to shake off the glances. I was confused when I heard him say 'for any of us.' Were these boys involved with whoever these 'elders' were? Were they bad guys too?

So many questions were running through my mind as I began to zone out once again. Why must I always zone out at times like this?! "Why are you such cowards?" I heard someone say, but I was too zoned out to tell who it was. "Who are you calling cowards?!" the second tallest said as he started to walk towards whoever had spoken up moments before. "You, you dumb ass." I heard, who I now realized was Sehun yell back as he pointed towards the boy. The boy continued to walk forward, pushing me in order to get to Sehun. I immediately stopped zoning out as I was pushed into D.O, who was standing beside me. We both fell to the ground as the other boys were trying to break up the fight between Sehun and the man, whom I still didn't know.

I blushed from embarrassment as I landed on top of D.O. "I am so sorry." I said as I rolled off of him and attempted to get up. "It is fine." he said as he got up and extended his hand out towards me, trying to help me up. I tried to hide my face, knowing that I was still blushing from all of the embarrassment. But I reached my hand out anyways and grabbed his as he tried to help me up. Though it was a big mistake because as soon as I did, I felt a slight shock go through my hand. I immediately fell back down and held my hand as I winced at the pain.He looked at me and to his hand as his eyes basically popped out of his head. I was confused as to why, but I decided to ignore it, wanting this moment to end.
