Sam's P.O.V
Me: Courtney, wanna spend the night at my house? I have something important to tell you anyway.

Me: And by the way, where did you go? I haven't seen you most of the day. Are you okay? Text me back whenever you can.

As I placed my phone back into my pocket, I walked past the school gate and leaned against the wall. "Where is that girl?" I sighed while looking around for Courtney. Over time, my attention diverted to my classmates. I watched the other students walk home, take the bus, drive or use a different source of transportation. They all looked mundane and innocent as they carried on with their ordinary lives. It surprises me how they don't know the secret that is all around them. But then again, I didn't know the secret either when I first came here.

My attention was caught when I saw a man waving at me. I was hesitant to wave back as I didn't know who this person was. As he walked closer to me, my nervousness soon went away as I could make out who the person was. "Oh. Hey WinWin." I waved back at him when he stopped in front of me. "Hello." He greeted. We stood there for a little bit before he quietly started to chuckle. I rose an eyebrow and crossed my arms. "What's so funny?" I asked. He pointed to himself and then me. "It's weird. We've never actually talked to each other before. Like, alone." He pointed out.

"Hm." I hummed. "That's true. I guess it's because we both have our separate agendas." WinWin nodded and leaned against the wall next to me. As I looked over at him, I couldn't help but notice the sad look in his eyes. I poked his arm to get his attention. "What's wrong?" I softly asked. His brown eyes looked over at me as he said, "Is it that obvious?" I nodded. The noise of people around us started to get softer, so I could tell that a lot of students have left. "If you must know it's Courtney. She hasn't been answering my calls or text messages." He practically whimpered.

I got off the wall and grabbed his shoulders. "She hasn't been answering you as well?" WinWin shook his head and looked deep into my eyes. "What if she's hurt?" He asked. "What if she's in trouble and I can't help her?" Tears were forming in his eyes as he thought about all the possibilities Courtney could be in. "Hey now." I said trying to calm him down. I wiped his eyes with my sleeve and patted his head. "Don't worry about Courtney. I'm pretty sure she's just busy with something." WinWin smiled and looked down at me. "Thank you Samantha."

"And thank you Win... Okay. I can't. I know WinWin is not your actual name. What is your real name?" I questioned. His mouth was slightly open and he blinked a few times before he spoke up. "Is it that obvious?" I nodded and poked his cheek. "Now tell me." WinWin sighed and messed with his hair a little bit. "Sicheng." He finally answered. "Dong Sicheng." After he finished, I reached my hand out and waited for him to shake it. It took him a while but he finally realized what I wanted. Sicheng placed his hand in mine and shook it. "Hello Sicheng. My name is Samantha."

I released his hand and placed both of my hands in my skirt pockets. Sicheng looked at his wrist to check the time and said, "It's 3:30. I have to leave now." He bowed to me and started to walk away. "Hey Sicheng!" I yelled. He stopped walking and stared at me. "If Courtney doesn't respond to you soon, you might want to ask D.O about her." His face instantly turned sour when he heard that man's name. "Hopefully it doesn't come to that." He responded and quickly walked off, dodging students left and right. "Well bye." I mumbled.

I fixed the bag on my back and strolled down the path to Courtney's house. I waved to some of the people that I walked past and said hello to some of the elderly people. When I made it to Courtney's house, I looked around to see if there were any signs of people. There was a car in the driveway so hopefully her mom was home. Just my luck, the front door opened and out came Courtney's mom. "Hello Mam." I greeted her. She looked up at me while shutting the front door. "Oh, hi there." She said. After she locked the door, she threw her purse over her shoulder and walked over to stand next to me. "What's up?" She asked. "Nothing much. Have you seen Courtney around?" I pondered.
