Twenty Eight

Courtney's P.O.V

I put my phone away as the bell rang, signaling the end of science. "Finally" I sighed in relief, earning me a glare from the teacher. I looked away quickly and walked out the door, not feeling like hearing any more lectures. As I began to walk to my next class, English, I started to doze off before someone snuck up behind me and scared me half to death. "Surprise!!!" Samantha yelled as she grabbed my shoulder, causing me to jump. I turned to her and slapped her arm before walking faster. She jogged after me quickly before I said anything else. "Where were you at last class hmmm?" I said as I looked to her and raised an eyebrow.

"Ummm, no where" she said as she batted her eyelashes at me innocently. I rolled my eyes as I laughed at her, realizing instantly that she wasn't telling the truth. As we made our way to our class at the far end of the school, I saw some of the guys from EXO, who waved at us and smiled. We returned the favor before continuing ahead. I glanced around the hallways, zoning out a bit as Samantha talked my ear off about Baekhyun and 'how cute he was'. It wasn't long before I saw Taeyong and his gang in the distance, once again bullying some kid. I rolled my eyes and began to turn away, not wanting to be involved, before I noticed that WinWin wasn't with them as he usually was. I stopped myself before I almost gave him a second thought, remembering that I was not speaking to him.

"Girl, I can't hang out today by the way. Have to go home and watch the new BTS mv's" she said before continuing. "Kim Taehyung tho" she added as she smirked. I laughed at her before realizing that we were now at the door to our English class. "Well, I have plans after school as well" I said as we walked in and went to our seats. "Ohhh, girl. With who? WinWin?" she said as she smirked at me. "No, definitely not with WinWin" I whispered as the bell rang and everyone turned to face the front of the class.

"Oh, did something happen between you two? I mean you know besides the thing with the thing" she whispered as the teacher walked into the classroom and immediately went to writing things down on the board. "What do you mean?" I whispered back quickly, trying to look as if I was at least halfway paying attention to what the teacher was saying. "I noticed that since the thing with the wolf situation the other night, that neither of you have been acting the same. You even ignored him this morning" she said as quick as she could before the teacher turned around. "Don't worry about it, nothing is wrong" I lied to her. "Okay, then who is it that you are hanging out with today?" she pressed on.

"Johnny and Ten okay. What else did you expect me to say?" I said, once again, another lie. She eventually stopped trying once she was halfway convinced that I was indeed spending my evening with Johnny and Ten going who knows where. I didn't expect her to acknowledge it much more since she was to have a busy evening fangirling over Kim Taehyung and the rest of the Bangtan Boys as usual. The rest of the day went by quickly. The usual passing by the EXO boys, waving but saying nothing and occasionally seeing Taeyong and his boys again, without WinWin. I tried to ignore the fact but this feeling deep inside of me still held concern for him. I realized that no matter what I did or what he did to hurt me, wouldn't change that.

During lunch, Onew quickly talked our ears off and we quickly found out that he was a fan of the Bangtan Boys as well. At the end of the conversation, as we got up to leave for our last class, Onew and Samantha decided to hang out after school and watch the mv's at her house. I smiled as they talked on and on about their biases as we all walked to our last class together. The entire music class was filled with Samantha and Baekhyun secretly playing footsie while they flirted with each other. Meanwhile, D.O and I talked every chance we got as we told each other more about ourselves. To my surprise, he was a very easy person to open up to. He wasn't intimidating at all as I got to know him a little more. Once the four of us got in trouble for talking in class, we all had to take seats out in the hallway.
