"ARE you sure you can manage alone? Pwede naman kitang samahan sa doctor mo, kailangang macheck-up yang mga sugat at pasa mo." Gian just smiled and tapped me on the shoulders.

"I'm fine, nakaya ko ngang umattend sa una kong check-up last week." It's been two weeks since Gian was discharged from the hospital. Pagkatapos non ay nagkaroon na siya ng general check-up every week para daw tingnan ang sugat at pasa niya. I always insisted on coming with him pero palagi siyang tumatanggi. It was just that I felt guilty because I know that he did it to save Kio.

Gian went out of my office. Napaupo lang ako habang nakatingin sa annulment papers na pina-file ko. I still haven't signed it, nor Gian. Siguro masyadong marami nang nangyari para unahin pang asikasuhin to, but I know that eventually, we'll both need this.

"Knock, knock beautiful." I just smirked when I heard somebody say that, and when I say somebody it's Cloud. "What ya been up to? Kahapon ka pa OT ah."

"Well, normal lang siguro yun para sa isang CEO?" I laughed sarcastically. "Anong ginagawa mo dito, Cloud?"

"Actually I was heading out. Want coffee?"

Cloud brought me to our favorite cafe shop. Cloud was just staring blankly outside and I noticed that something was a bit unusual about him today. "Something wrong?"

"N-nothing in particular." Cloud took a sip from his coffee. "Lara, I have a question for you."

I looked at him and he stared at me seriously, "If there was an instance where you would pick ruining one's life or saving the life of your child.. what would you choose?"

Napahinto ako sa pag-inom sa tanong ni Cloud. "It was a very difficult situation to begin with and if I were in that situation, I wouldn't know what to do.. but, I have to admit that I would be selfish for that moment and choose to save my own child. Because for me, having a child means everything because it's your own flesh and blood. You would do anything for their sake."

"Lara." Cloud held my hand. "I hope you won't hate me."

"MOMMYYYY!! FASTER!! TATAY AND JAKE WILL BE HERE IN A FEW MINUTES!!" Napangiti lang ako nang sumigaw si Kio mula sa living room. Nagluluto kasi ako ngayon dahil dadating si Gian para makipaglaro sa kambal. Kio seemed excited today that he didn't get enough sleep last night.

*ding dong*

"Uwaaah! Tatay and Jake's here!" Kei jumped out of the couch and immediately opened the door. "Tatay! Jake!"

"Babies ko!" I heard Gian shouted and when I looked at them, he was hugging Kio and Kei. "I bought you the latest toys you wanted."

Sinarado ko ang stove at pumunta sa living room kung saan ko nakita ang napakadaming laruan na binili ni Gian.

"Gian, binilhan mo nanaman ng laruan sila Kio at Kei. Ang dami dami na nilang laruan." Ginulo lang ni Gian ang buhok ni Kio at Kei habang naglalaro sila.

"Hayaan mo na, minsan lang sila bata and they wanted that." Umupo ako sa tabi ni Gian.

"How's your check-up?" Napatigil sandali si Gian sa pakikipaglaro. He didn't responded. He looked at me and smiled. "What's wrong, Gian?"
