Not Happy. At All.

Hi. How we doing? Pretty groovy I hope.

I'm ticked off, in case you were wondering.

I'm doing a summer math class. Cause I wanted too. I'm not being forced. (That's the first question everyone asks.)

And now, I am on a bus heading back to my house. The bus in question, I you are wondering, if full of complete and udder idiots. (With the exception on my neighbor. She's nice.)

First off, there was yesterday. I was riding the bus, while reading my new Agatha Christie novel, (thanks @Free_The_Elf) which is a very serious book about murder. Not burgers. Stupid spell check.

Anyway, I'm reading my book. The person next to me is an irritating 5 or 6 year old. She was repeatedly saying, 'My mommy is my backpack', in an extremely irritating high-pitched voice. I asked her to stop.

A few seconds later:
'My mommy is Anna and my daddy is Kristof. And my big sissie is Elsa.' Over and over again.

I wanted to duck tape her mouth shut.

Today, in the seat next to me, are the type of people who seriously tick me off.

I'm reading my book, and I hear this:

'Don't judge me! I have autism! I can't understand what you're saying, cause I'm an idiot!'

This is what nearly pushed me over the edge. I was this close to punching them in the face. Repeatedly.

Explanation:

One of my family's close friends have a son who has autism. A bloody brilliant son. Who, I will have you know is smarter than a lot of the 15-year olds who are on this bus with me.

He, let's call him James, has progressed from barely being able to read, to reading at his grade level, in just two years. Clearly, he is not an idiot.

Autism does not mean that people don't understand what you are saying, it just means that they have trouble articulating their thoughts.

This is NOT what defines an idiot.

An idiot, is someone who judges someone who they don't know, someone who gives into negative stereotypes, someone who is mean to people for the fun of it, bullies, people who are disrespectful... The list goes on and on.

Autism does not define you as a person. Anyone who says that, is not worthy to even say things like that.

If you don't agree with me, go right ahead. This is what I KNOW, not what I BELIEVE. I am not going to change my views on this matter, and I hope that if you agree with me, you don't let anyone change what you KNOW.

Thanks for reading this.
