Hello, friends! How are you doing today?

Anyway, yesterday I was sick. So, today I have been doing all of the homework from yesterday. (Well, I hope I am doing the right homework. I've been sorta guessing at what the homework is.)

Anyway, in ELA, we had to write a poem. So, here it is!

WE WERE LIKE DAISIES

We were like daisies in winter.
We pushed our faces up to the sun.
We froze in the night.

We were like actors on a set.
We danced together but alone.
We were strangers pretending to be friends.

We were like stranded astronauts.
We sinked in the deepest ocean.
We couldn't tell which way was up.

We were like waves in a stormy sea.
We crashed against jagged rocks.
We were shoved by the harshest winds.

But we were starlight.
We glowed down with an otherworldly light.
We had eyes that were filled with galaxies.

We were like daisies.
We were like actors.
We were like astronauts.
We were like waves.

Oh, but we were starlight.
We were starlight when we belonged.

(End of poem)

Well, that was my weird, random poem that honestly, as I reflect on it now, makes almost no sense!

(P.S. With this poem, I am not hating on daisies. Daisies are actually my favorite flower.)

Thanks for reading!
