Hello, friends! How are you?
Anyway, I'm going to get straight to the point. We were writing poems in ELA today, and I don't know what to title mine.
I need a title. Badly.
So, if you have any ideas, would you please be kind enough to help a friend out? It is much appreciated!
Here is the poem: (please note that it is really bad, and that I have not edited/revised it yet. So...)
She dances behind the curtains -
Watching, waiting, wondering -
When would her day come?
They got new shoes,
And they got new plans -
When would her day come?
She falls from her ladder
And tumbles down the rocks
Of her own jagged mountain.
The sky looks so small from
The bottom of her trench.
The cracks and the craters make her slip -
The footholds and the ledges
Crumble at her touch.
The pebbles and the
Rocks and the
Boulders
Crashed down around her.
She was surrounded.
She was stranded.
...
Was she?
She swung her anchor to the sun -
It slid in.
She sent her lasso to the moon -
And held on.
She rose from her ashes and
Spread her wings.
She took flight.
Her trench looks so small from
Her perch among the stars.
Her wings aflame,
Her face aglow.
...
She had danced behind the curtains - Watched, waited, wondered -
When would her day come?
