Hi! How are you guys doing?

Anyway, so throughout most of last week, we were working on editing/revising our final poems to turn in for a grade.

So, here is mine! (It's a little weird, so bear with me):

SPILLED WORDS

They flow inside me,
Endless streams and rivers pushing against each other.

I am filled to the brim with words.

Powerful words;
Soft words;
Hurtful words;
Kind words.

They spill out of my mouth and onto the
Floor.
Onto the table.
Into the notebooks.
Into the computer.
Wherever the words will fit.

They pulse beneath my skin,
A steady beat of hope,
Of excitement,
Of anxiety,
Of frenzied anticipation.

I push my words into jars;
Into boxes and trunks.
I save them for a time when I can see them clearly.

I use my words whenever I can.
Discombobulated;
Perpetrator;
Psychic;
Ridiculously;
Ellipsis.

Tonnes after tonnes and
Pounds after pounds and
Ounces after ounces
Of words.

They flutter in my stomach and
Threaten to spill after every sudden movement.

Everyone I meet tells me to...
-stop talking.
-close your mouth.
-be quiet.

I know
Someday,
Somehow,
That my words are going to spill out,
And someone will want to hear them for
What
They
Truly
Are.

(End of poem)

By the way, after copying and pasting the whole thing, I realized that this is not even sorta the completely revised/edited edition. Literally. Most of the poem either changed, or I added something to it.

Oops.

Well, I guess that is the general gist of what my poem was...

Thanks for reading!
