The nurse had called up both Minho and his wife Sunjoo as soon as she was able to calm the patient down. Almost as soon as she had woken up, Minha was flooded with questions and when the nurse was unable to answer them properly, she became exasperated. She had been given sedatives which put her into a peaceful sleep for a few hours. Minho and Sunjoo hurried back to their home to check on his sister who had been asleep for years, with no hope of ever waking up. Many times the couple had been pressured by their doctor to pull the plug on her. But she was Minho's sister, and he couldn't let her go.

Sunjoo closed the cafe earlier than expected and sent her two helpers home. Miran and Jiyeon returned to the Jackals' home much too early for a regular day of work.

As soon as they entered the house, Sunjoo had arrived first, but waited for her husband in the living room, they both worried that the nurse might give them bad news. All she had told them over the phone was that they needed to come home quick, and that she had important news for them.

They entered Minha's bedroom together, and Minho was relieved to still hear her heart monitor beeping. His sister was laying there, sleeping peacefully, just as they had left her that morning. As soon as she saw them, the nurse rose from her chair and walked over to them. She was quick to give them the news. "I have good news for you. Today the patient showed signs of movement. Then, the unexpected happened. She opened her eyes." Minho and Sunjoo looked at each other, in Minho's eyes was a flicker of happiness. The nurse continued with a hint of confusion. "All she kept asking for was light. I couldn't understand what she wanted."

Minho nodded, quickly understanding what his sister meant. "Light. That's her husband's name." He clarified. Both Sunjoo and the nurse thought it was an unusual name for a person, but they didn't question it. Minho didn't explain to them that Light was just his gang name, his real name was Byun Baekhyun. That wasn't important now.

"We should call him, and let him know that she's alive." Sunjoo pointed out.

She also didn't know that Baekhyun was seeing someone else now, and that someone else was the very same girl that was working at her cafe. Nam Miran

Minho had never resented Baekhyun for moving on. For one, he didn't know that Minha was actually in a coma and not dead. Also, he had been mourning her for about three years and it was natural for him to move on with his life. It was what Minha would have wanted for him if she had known all of this was happening.

"I'll talk to him tonight." Minho assured his wife with a nod of his head. Then, cutting the distance between himself and the girl fast asleep in her bed, he said whilst he touched her forehead lovingly. "I always had hope that you'd come back to us."

Joining him and standing by his side was Sunjoo with the baby in her arms. The baby was distracted, playing with his own fingers, unknowing of all the things that were happening. As far as that child knew, his parents were Minho and Sunjoo, since they had taken care of him from the moment he was born. But it wasn't that his real parents didn't want him. His mother was in a coma, and his father was unaware of his existence. "Should we let them know too...that Yunkyum is their son?"

Minho sighed, as he thought about unloading the truth to Baekhyun, and then breaking it to his sister that her husband no longer loved her. "Light will never forgive me for keeping all of this from him. But I was only trying to help."

He had learned the hard way that sometimes trying to help, could actually make things worse.

Minho had left his sister in the care of his wife and the nurse had gone home for the night. Half the nights in a week, he spent them at his wife's house, and the other half he spent at the Jackals' mansion with his brothers. Since none of them knew he was married and he wished to keep it that way per his wife's own request, he often pretended he would go patrolling at night or that he had business meetings with foreign suppliers. His brothers never questioned anything because they trusted him.

It was right after dinner when everyone was to go about their duties for the night. The younger boys, led by Chanyeol, would go on their nightly patrol, while the others would probably relax for the night or spend time with their loved ones.

Baekhyun held Miran around the waist and they were headed up to their bedroom for some alone time when Minho cleared his throat to stop them. "Light..." He called a bit hesitant. The pack's beta turned and regarded him with a smile. Minho couldn't help but think that smile would be wiped clean off in a mere few minutes. "Can I talk to you in private?" He asked, looking towards Miran who stood there curiously.

The pack's beta was about to protest that Miran could listen to whatever Minho had to say. But Miran quickly nodded in understanding. She kissed her boyfriend on the lips and and smiled at the two of them reassuringly. "Its fine, baby." She said when she gathered that he was about to protest. "I'll wait for you in our bedroom."

With that, she walked off, leaving the two alone. "What can I do for you, hyung?" Baekhyun wondered, not very pleased that Minho had made Miran leave the room.

It wasn't like he wouldn't tell her everything that was said as soon as he entered the bedroom.

Minho looked both ways before speaking, preferring if Baekhyun was the first and only person in the house to hear the news for the time being. "I have something very important to tell you." He said to his former--or more likely current--brother in law. "Its about Minha." The words triggered something in Baekhyun and he instantly paid more attention to what his hyung was trying to tell him. He and Minho hardly talked about Minha since her death. And ever since then, Baekhyun had visited her grave every month to leave her roses. There was a prick of guilt in his chest as he remembered that he hadn't done so in months, ever since he met Miran, to be exact.

"What about her?" Baekhyun asked with curiosity.

Talking about her still brought back painful memories. He had lost her in such a horrible way and he would never forget that--the way he watched her die.

"I know everyone thinks she died, but--" Minho started with a sigh.

Baekhyun stopped him immediately. "Wait. What do you mean by everyone thinks she died? We were all there. We saw when she passed away." His heart was beating hard against his chest and his mouth felt dry. Like he knew something was coming. Something he wasn't exactly going to like.

"When we thought she passed away, she had actually fallen into a coma." Minho explained, while Baekhyun listened carefully. But he felt as though his world was crashing down around him. "I asked her doctor not to tell anyone--especially you--because he said there was no hope of her ever waking up. But I couldn't just let her go, she's my sister. So my wife and I hid her at our house for three years--"

Everything fell into place for Baekhyun, how at the funeral, her brother hadn't allowed for there to be an open casket. At the time, Baekhyun had been so emotionally drained that he didn't question it, nor did he protest it. But how could they have an open casket, when it was empty? And all that time, he had been crying over and leaving flowers at an empty grave. He felt so betrayed and so fooled. His blood began to boil with anger against his hyung. He was about to yell at him for what he did, when another thought crossed his mind.

"She was pregnant when she died." Baekhyun pointed out, remembering the news she had given him with her last breath. "What happened to the baby? Did it die?"

Minho replied with a shake of his head. "The baby lived. He's a strong baby boy named Yunkyum, and he's two years old."

That final detail that was kept from him sent him over the edge and was enough to make the beta snap.
