Kevin's in this cringe-worthy mood. When we got out of my room, his mood made a complete turn. Biglang ang chirpy na niya. Pagkalabas namin sa porch ay nauna pa siyang umupo sa akin at pinaglagay pa ako ng food sa plate, which I hate.

"Kevin, I can get my own food." He grinned. "Oh, right. Ayaw kong malumpo." Aniya at parang naka-high na inabot pa sa akin ang serving spoon like it's some precious artifact. Tumawa sina tita Cat at mommy dahil sa ginawa nni Kevin. Sinipa ko siya sa ilalim ng table, dahil para siyang may sira sa ulo.

When I started eating, I glanced at Kevin to seen him staring at me. "What?" Umiling siya at nagsimulang kumain habang medyo nangingisi. Umiling na lang din ako at di na siya pinansin. I'm not inlove with a psycho, am I?

"Roose, hijo.. Paano kayong nagkakilala ni Kate? My daughter is not the friendliest person you'll meet."

"Well, to tell you frankly, tito... She caught my attention." Napahinto ako sa pagkain nang dahil sa sinabi ni Roose. When I looked up, nakatingin na siya sa akin habang bahagyang nakangiti. It's like he's reminiscing a good memory. "I was in this party with Robb, when this particular girl caught my attention."

"She's pretty, but she wasn't the prettiest among the girls.. While the other girls tried so hard to fit in, it's like she didn't even care. She was wearing slacks while the rest of them wore gowns."

Tumawa si daddy at tito Ned sa sinabi ni Roose. "The jeans and sneakers caught your attention, I suppose?" Tumango si Roose at nagpatuloy sa pagkukwento. "While all the rest of them tried so hard to be noticed, Kate didn't even need to try. She was outstanding without even trying."

Tumawa si daddy, dahil pakiramdam ko ay amazed siya na nakakarinig siya ng komento mula sa ibang tao. "I didn't come up to her to ask for her name, hell, I was scared. She looked like she isn't gonna take crap from other people. Nalaman ko rin po noon na pinsan niya si Robb, who is my very good friend and colleague."

"I asked him if he can introduce me to his cousin, wala naman daw pong boyfriend si Kate, and now here I am." Ani ni Roose habang nakangiti sa akin. My uncle laughed awkwardly. I can see from my peripheral view that Kevin is not really interested on what Roose has to say. Walang pakialam siyang kumakain sa tabi ko.

"But, now she's not.. So, you can stop whatever it is you're planning." Kevin said in between his bites. "Kev!" Bawal ko sa kanya. That's just rude! Kahit totoong wala ng pag-asa pa kami ni Roose, ay hindi naman dapat iyon sinabi ni Kevin.

Huminto si Kevin sa pagkain at nilingon ako. "What? It's true. You're with me, you're off limits." Aniya na parang wala si Roose sa harap namin, at nagpatuloy sa pagkain.

"You're... together?" Ani Roose. "I thought he's your best friend..."

"Still am, only I'm his boyfriend, too. So, back off, dude."

Nagkaroon ng isang awkward silence dahil doon. Robb faked a cough para mabawasan ang namumuong tension. Kita ko kung paano nakipagsukatan si Roose ng tingin kay Kevin ng mag-angat ito ng mata mula sa pagkain. My brother clinked the wine flute that has juice in it to get all of our attention. "I have an announcement to make... Lisa and I, are getting married..."

"What, kuya? Are you being serious?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Sansa sa kanyang kuya. "I'm so happy!!! Thank you for not being a complete jerk, kuya! I love Ate Lisa!"

"Totoo ba yan, Robb?" Tanong ni Tito Ned. Tumango si Robb at ngumiti. "Yes, dad, I realized that you need to keep those who love you and treasure you." Tumayo si Tita Cat at niyakap si Robb.
