Dean woke up with a pain in his head. He swore under his breath and sat up. He opened his eyes and looked around. It was daylight. The birds were chirping and it had a morning feel to it. He looked around and saw he was sitting in Emily’s yard. The events from last night came back to him. She had gone crazy and knocked him out. Her eyes... Sam. He looked around frantically until he breathed out in relief upon seeing Sam laying a little way away from him. He saw his chest raise and fall. He was in a deep sleep.

Dean sighed. He didn’t want to believe Emily was evil, but all that crap that happened last night freaked him out. Things had just gotten weird. But he felt that Emily could’ve killed them. Why hadn’t she? Sam said that a seer had crossed their dad, but why? Was there a reason both the other seer and Emily crossed them? His head was still pounding. He ran his hand through his hair and tried to make sense of this. But he couldn’t. Then he wondered where Emily was and what time it was exactly.

He heard Sam groan and knew he was waking. He thought about what they should do quickly. He was going to pile Sam in the car and they were going to drive to those cursed woods. He had to find Emily. His gut was killing him and he knew that she was still the one who needed saving. It was some instinct in him that needed to save her at all cost.

“Dean?” Sam groaned again and picked himself off the ground.

Both the brothers stood and stretched. Dean watched Sam carefully to make sure he was okay. Sam gave him the knowing look. Like he knew that they were going to the woods and he knew that Dean was going to try to save Emily. They had been together too long for one to misjudge the other. Sam sighed loudly and started for the car.

“It is morning, chances are whatever was going to happen already happened.” Sam mumbled as Dean followed him to the car.

Dean watched Sam open the door and he stood with his door open. He looked at his brother from over the hood. “I have to find her Sammy.”

“I know.” Sam gave him a shrug and ducked into the car.

Dean nodded and scratched his head as he ducked into the drivers side. They shut their doors at the same time. “Have any thoughts as to what happened to her? Why did she go off the deep end, what happened to her eyes, and what the hell was up with the black halo?”

Sam shrugged as Dean pulled out of her driveway. “I really have no idea. But all I think she knocked us unconscious to save us. She was so sure that if I went I would die. And she didn’t kill us or even harm us after she knocked us out. She left us there for safety. I think she sacrificed herself.”

Dean gripped the steering wheel. “Why would she do that?”

“What is it about her, Dean? You have never gotten this crazy over someone we were trying to help.” Sam studied his brother. There had to be something else going on.

            “She just… I don’t know.” Dean sighed. “I honestly don’t know Sam.”

Sam relaxed back in his seat. “Okay. Atleast we have the Colt. We can just shoot this thing and figure out what is happening with Emily. Her eyes… I have never seen anything like it.”

“It is like the opposite reaction of a demon. Instead of black, her eyes turn gold.” Dean thought back to her eyes and still couldn’t believe it. And she didn’t realize it.

“I can’t imagine she is working for a demon. She was so hell bent on killing that thing.” Sam looked out his window and started to deduce any possible reasoning behind any of this.
