I peered around the corner
As complacent as I am
I sit on a rock
Despite seeing the swing set in advanceI get off said rock
And go to the swing
My mind free from love's clutches
My music makes my ears ringI begin to move my legs back and then forth
Reliving the memories and future
Both South and NorthI pick up speed trying to outdue my cousin
Swinging away from everything and yet nothingI am alone in this park at 8 am sharp
Yet I listen to the sounds of pianos and harpsI pick up speed trying to
Reach the top
But it swings me backwards
Until I decide to stopMy breath is heavy, legs are shaking
My mind of lead
I slow down swinging looking at the clouds
And when I stopped....
I became dead
