(A/N: I DID IT I UPDATED EARLIER !!!!!!!!! A week earlier than the last update. Still, it was pretty damn good. Right ? RIGHT ? Right.)

“Mum?” – I got home to my mum sitting on the couch crying her eyes out. – “What’s wrong?”
I sat next to her and rubbed her back.
“It’s your grandmother.” – She swallowed hard. – “She-she-She’s dead.”
The blood completely drained out of my face.
“Oh mum…” – I hugged her as tight as I could. – “How did it happen?”
“The cancer beat her. There wasn’t much we could do.”
My grandmother had always been close to my mum and to be honest, she is one of my role models.
Always polite, never said no to an adventure and always had her sarcasm ready to be shot at someone.
I am a bit like her in that way.
She was diagnosed with lung cancer 4 years ago. Even after several treatments and chemo it got the best of her.
She was 66 years old.
I loved my grandma. Even though at first she wasn’t very pleased with the fact that her teenage daughter was pregnant she helped with as much as she could. Which wasn’t much cause my grandpa – and that one was a complete bitch let me tell you. Bless his soul though – cut her accesses to the family accounts. But she found a way to send money to mum anyways. After grandpa died, he left all he had to his wife.
Now that she is dead, I am not sure what is going to happen to all that money and that big house in Primrose Hills.
Yeah, my family is rich but they’re all such skinflints. If you need money to pay a bill, they don’t offer. Even if you ask, they don’t give it to you. Unless you cry.
Every time I think about those times mum struggled to feed me and had to rely on Anne, I just want to throw a punch at every single member of my family.
They had money so why didn’t they help us ??? Yeah right, that’s called pride and disgust.
They had a reputation to stand up for and having their teenage daughter pregnant wasn’t a good thing so they completely shut her out.
Now we’re okay, we have money and grandma - as soon as she got grandpa’s heritage - filled our accounts with a good amount of money.
She was always the wise and generous one of the family.
“I-I-I have to go to London tomorrow to prepare everything for the funeral and set up a meeting with my sister and our attorneys.”
“Don’t you think that is a lot ? I mean she just died.”
She patted my knee. – “Drea dear, when it comes to money issues, my family takes no time in solving them.”
“Okay.” – I sighed. – “Do you want me to come with you?”
“No, it’s fine. I’ll call you when everything’s settled.” – She stood up and started walking towards the stairs. – “I’m going to get some rest, you should too. Goodnight, honey.”
“Goodnight mum, if you need anything just give me a ring.”
Next morning, mum had her bags in the car and was ready to go to London.
