Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice. But falling in love with you was beyond my control

“I love you.”

“I love you too. So much.” – I kissed her for the hundredth time that night.

“You know we can’t be together though right?”

“What?”

“I’m with someone else.”

“But you love me.”

“That doesn’t matter. I have a new life.”

“But I thought we’d be together after all that we talked about…”

“No, Harry I can’t do that to him.”

“Then why are you doing this to me?”

“Because you won’t be here for much longer.” – She grinned mischievously.

“What do you mean?”

BANG!

“AAHHH!” – I jumped out of the bed.

“Are ya alright lad?” – Niall steps out of the bathroom with his toothbrush in hand.

“Yeah, I just had a nightmare.” – I shook my head roughly to try to shake these thoughts away.

“I heard ya scream. Hungover?”

“No, my head is fine. I didn’t drink much last night.”

“Yeh me either.” – He goes back into the bathroom.

Niall is my class mate. We met on the very first day. I was late because I couldn’t find the damn building and he helped me. We just started talking since then.

Today was Sunday and I had slept on his roommate’s bed as we all went to a party last night and we lost him. Oops.

“Do you know if there is football practice today?”

“Yeh, there is. Why?” – Niall was putting on his shoes now.

“I want to try out for the team.”

He laughed. – “You can’t try out.”

“Why not?”

“Time’s up. Try outs are at the beginning of the season. If you didn’t try out then, well too bad. You’re screwed.”

“I’m not screwed, I still have my football team from back home.”

“Yeh and you’ve missed five practices already.”

“It’s not my fault I am away from home.”

“So much trouble for a girl.” – He rolled his eyes. – “I just can’t understand you people. You have plenty of time to date yet, you chase this girl who fucked with your head and leave everything behind. What about your education eh? Your future? Where is all of that going? In the trash.”

“No, she’s my future.” – He puffed. – “I’m serious Niall! You don’t know Drea, she’s different from any other girls I’ve met.”

“That’s what they all say.”

“I’m serious. You need to meet her. And I wouldn’t even care if I had to cross all the oceans in the world, I would go after her. She’s all I need right now.”
