Lose an argument not a person.

“What do you think of this one?”

I frowned. – “Not really my type. Don’t you have any vivid colors somewhere?”

Anne sat down next to me. – “Drea sweetie, this is a wedding not a party. Vivid colors won’t fit in this kind of situation.” – She put a palette of colors in front of me. – “Let’s go through the pale ones again, shall we?”

I sighed in frustration.

It’s been not even a month since Harry and I got engaged. Ever since the night he told Anne the news, she kept calling and coming over whenever she could to ask about colors, patterns, venues and dresses.

Seriously, I love Anne but she was pissing me off.

We haven't even settled a date yet!!!

I was working at a high school along with Zayn and Louis. Harry was still finishing college and working in a law firm as a part of his internship.

At that moment, Harry arrives. He puts down his books and hangs his coat. – “Aw, this is nice! Hi mum.” – He kissed her cheek. – “Hey beautiful.” – He kissed me.

“Save me!” – I hugged him.

He laughed. – “Mum, are you trying to make her choose something she doesn’t want to?”

“I’m just saying that vivid colors don’t look good in a wedding.”

“Mum, red is a vivid color and a lot of people use it. Especially in wedding dresses.” – He sat down next to me.

“Someone has been learning a few things…” – I smiled.

“What color is your dress dear?” – Anne tried to catch my attention.

I frowned. - “Hm, white.”

“And your suit honey?”

Harry hesitated. - “Huh gray mum.”

“Well, we could mix things up a bit. We could add both gray and white to the reception tables.”

“What if the invitations are gray and white and the reception tables are like an ice themed room?” – I suggested.

“I like it mum.” – Harry agreed.

“That is actually a great idea. All bright and cold colors, I like it.” – She closed the books. – “I better start working on it.”

“Thank you for your help, Anne. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t know where to start.” – I was relieved.

“It keeps me entertained, this is fun!” – She smiled. – “Now all you have to worry about is how you want the chapel decorated and don’t forget your dress fitting.”

“I won’t.” – I walked her to the door. – “See you tomorrow.” – I closed the door behind me.

“She’s a pain in the ass isn’t she?” – Harry walked over to me.

“Yeah, but you know she’s helping and I’m thankful for that.”

“I know baby.” – He wrapped his arms around my waist and pecked my lips.
