Strange New Friends

The twins were busy decrypting the data while everyone else was busy elsewhere with the sub. Pure wanted to check in with them and see how they were doing. Lucinda wanted to talk to them as well so she gave pure another scale of hers so that she can talk to them.

Pure: Hi guys, how is it going?

Xiao: Still decrypting and translating all of this so that we can know everything about the UDI and how to take them down.

Pure: ok, someone wants to talk to you.

Xiao: who?

Pure: -gives Xiao the scale from Lucinda-

Xiao: A Scale?

Pure: From Lucinda, it works telepathically since she is huge.

Xiao: What does she want to talk about?

Pure: No idea, but she is friendly.

Pure leaves the room allowing Xiao to talk to Lucinda (Xiao handles the translating part while Zhēnbǎo handles the decryption)

Xiao: Hello, you there Lucinda?

Lucinda: Yes, I'm here, I'm so glad you took time off what you are doing to talk to me, since I don't have that much friends.

Xiao: We lost all of our friends in the acid rain.

Lucinda: I'm so sorry for your losses.

Xiao: We still remember them and we will always carry them in our hearts.

Lucinda: I know this is a big question for you two but, how it was for you learning how to depend on each other all those years?

Xiao: It was hard at first since we had to be close to each other since we were different personalities, even though we were twins. The machinery broke a few times and our father repaired them. Then he sat us both down and talked to us about working together. He taught us by giving us exercises to build our bonding together once we had enough training we developed a kind of telepathic link to each other to communicate, do our work better and not damage the equipment anymore. So our father upgraded its durability and range so that we could work better and get the job done more efficiently. Then the rest you already know.

Lucinda: Wow that's quite a story.

Xiao: Yes, it is, but I want to hear more about you since you are a Scylla.

Lucinda: We are a protective kind we don't take it likely to intruders.

Xiao: But you didn't attack us when you had the chance.

Lucinda: I'm more of a friendly one, I've met a lot of other monsters but it didn't help at home since I liked to sneak out of protection.

Xiao: Adventure type?

Lucinda: Yeah; exploring wherever I can, meeting new creatures and discovering new things, but I never leave home without my trident, but I lost it when I was pulled in through the light and ended up here. Then I got hurt when I came here by some subs from a few days ago, then pure and is friends found me and healed me back up and I decided to join them as to find my way home.

Xiao: I wish I could travel the world but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Lucinda: Then can we be friends even though of our conditions?

Xiao: My brother and I have agreed we will be friends forever.

Lucinda: Thank you Xiao and Zhēnbǎo.

Xiao: Now if you will excuse us, we need to get back to work.

Lucinda: Ok, thanks for talking to me.

Xiao: Same.
