Payback is a bitch

Two months had passed after what happened at the Pyramids, everyone kept checking on pure to see if there was any change but the lockdown was still activated on the room and there was still no response. They left for another mission and came back with the lockdown turned off. Mima was controlling it but the door was still jammed somehow. Jack used his sledgehammer to break the door down and get inside. What they saw just blew their minds. It was a combination of bio and tech which engulfed the room and covered everything. Pure and Alisha was nowhere to be seen, all that was left was a massive pod.

Jack: What is this thing!?

Horatio: I have no idea!

Mima: it seems to be a fusion between bio and tech; it's consumed everything in the room, even what was keeping Alisha alive.

Xiao: Speaking of which, where is Alisha?

Arachnid: And where is Pure?

They looked around for them in the room but they couldn't find them, all that was there was the pod. After a couple minutes of opening the door and searching the pod opened. There was gas coming out and the pressure was being released everyone backed away and went out of the room.

Horatio: Mima, is that poisonous?!

Mima: Exactly the opposite actually, it heals instead of killing, it looks like it is made of Pure's altered DNA.

When the smoke cleared they went back inside and looked inside the pod to find Pure and Alisha inside, they were holding each other in their arms. Pure was normal but was upgraded a few pieces were added on to him. Alisha was a different story; she was completely changed. Not only her body was healed but she was just like him, but she had three reactors in her back instead of four and her color was a lighter blue than Pure's. Her tails were the same color as her eyes. He woke up first and held her in his arms tight. She then woke up and saw Pure holding onto her tightly.

Pure: It's alright now, you're safe now.

Alisha starts to wake up and her eyes were the same as his.

Alisha: What happened?

Pure: When I came back the Nanites unlocked some sort of biotech application for others. When I saw you in shambles and was hanging on by a thread I just snapped but I didn't lose control of myself again like what happened in the desert with my sister. I told everyone to leave the room and then I triggered the lockdown to this room only. I didn't want to lose the only one I loved so there was only one way to save you.

Alisha: Didn't the dragon blood work!?

Pure: It was not enough regeneration to keep you alive and heal you at the same time. So I had to step in, my blood was the only thing that could heal you enough to get you back to 100%. Your body was completely destroyed so I had to use my system design to repair it. The new ability copied my systems and built a completely new one for you. It won't have the voices in my head like Seth and Randal, but you have an AI that will help you with your tasks.

Alisha: But why?

Pure: Because I don't want to see one of my best friends die like that! Being destroyed by my family like that! I would never forgive myself! I'm starting to see you as more than a friend. It's like we were meant to be together and I didn't want that to end.

Alisha: Pure, I never thought you would say that, because I have seen you as more than a friend as well.

Pure: I know this may sound weird but...

Alisha: ...

Pure: Do you want to be a couple?

Alisha: -Kisses Pure on the lips- Thought you would never ask.
