Diseases and Differences

Everyone was busy at the fort with their jobs. Pure was handling the blueprints for the fox spirits home, Alisha and Carolina were dealing with terrorist interrogations. Horatio and Jack were dealing with new defense designs, Jade, Trinity and Vincent were dealing with weapon testing. Mima and Seth were dealing with the cures and theories, Chun and Ming were getting some relax time in their room and the twins and their mother were dealing with the clean water project. The monster girls wanted to talk to them so they asked Pure if they could, he agreed and allowed them to talk to the diseased dozen, they each took a set and talked to them.

Pure: Hey guys, some of my teammates want to talk to you.

#9: Who are they?

Pure: It's the monster girls I was telling you about, they want to hear your stories and get to know you guys better.

#7: How many of them are there?

Pure: Four, so it's three to one.

#3: It would be nice to see a new face. I would like to talk to them.

#5: Me too.

#9: Everyone agrees?

Everyone nods their head.

#9: Ok take your pick and we each take a monitor.

They each split up and go towards a monitor waiting on a response. (Lucinda goes first.)

Lucinda: Hi.

#3, 6, 9: Hello.

Lucinda: My name is Lucinda; I am a Scylla.

#6: Aren't they myth?

Lucinda: Yes, they are, but we came from a different dimension so it would be weird for you guys. Pure told me you go by numbers so which ones am I speaking with?

#3: 3

#6: 6

#9: 9

Lucinda: May I asked how you got this way?

#3: I'll go first. I got my disease from childbirth but I had HIV at first, until my body started to weaken in at a rapid pace. When they found out I had a new, evolved form of AIDS I was sent to China to experiment and cure it but I was starting to fade away rapidly until Pure's friend Shen came in and stabilized me, he then asked to subject me to cryogenetics in order to stop the degradation but keep me alive. I agreed but only if he promised that he would make me better. He agreed and he made me into a cryo person in order to make it possible to continue the work and keep me alive after that we met each other in here and formed bonds to each other through talking and playing. The cryogenetics don't allow the viruses in our bodies to be spread to each other so we live here until our diseases are cured.

Lucinda: That is very interesting.

#9: Yes, it is we all have learned to help each other in these conditions.

Lucinda: I see you carry yourself like a leader so what is your story.

#9: The disease I carry is very lethal my heart comes under serious attack from nowhere and my heart shuts down, even with a pacemaker installed.

Lucinda: Pacemaker?

#6: It does the rhythm of your heartbeat for you so you won't get any other problems.

Lucinda: So you never had, what is the word, surgery?

#9: Tried that too. I went through 5 hearts but they all come back heavily diseased and unable to be cured so they put me on portable heart machine and sent me to China. Then they found out my body actually poisons my heart but they couldn't find the source anywhere. All of the tests came back negative. When I was looking for another way to live I met Shen and he agreed for me to go under cryogenetics in order for the disease to stop working and for me to live. The other eleven treat me with respect because I have been near death the most and I give them that same respect in return so I speak for all of them at times.
