Evolution from the ashes of extinction

The new UDI

The next day Pure gathered everyone in the main hall to talk about the UDI and which direction it would go.

Pure: Everyone here, good. I want to talk about taking the UDI in a new direction since I am taking over the business but I can't do it alone which is why I need all of you to help.

Horatio: How exactly?

Pure: Each of us has something to bring to the table and I want to use that rather than putting you with something you don't like.

Alisha: OK, so how are the jobs being split.

Pure: Alisha will take cleaning out the bad sections of the company so that we would have a clean slate since her specialty is digging for information even with no possible lead.

Alisha: Got it.

Pure: Horatio and Jack will take the defense section of the company since you two specialize in making the hardest decisions in your teams and squads and since you know some defense ideas of your own so I will give you guys the chance.

Horatio: I can work with that.

Jack: Sure.

Pure: The twins will take the research section of the company since that is their best trait and it would also let their Father's work be continued and blossom.

Xiao: We would be honored.

Pure: Since Lucinda is a free spirited person, I'm going to give her the exploration section of the company along with Artemis to cover the sea and air. It would also let them explore this earth better.

Lucinda: Sweet.

Artemis: I like that idea.

Pure: Sandra will help with the agricultural section of the company since she is also free spirited and it would let us know how the earth is doing since she is an expert on getting around and having the mechanical shell will improve growth.

Sandra: I'm ok with that.

Pure: Arachnid will get the tactical section of the company since she was a queen and can do tactics probably better than me.

Arachnid: Wise choice.

Pure: Seth and Mima will get the technical section of the company since they work best on calculations and data handling.

Seth: It would also let us learn some more things about this world.

Pure: Jade, Trinity and Vincent will get the weapons section of the company since they are well versed in handling their weapons like pros.

Trinity: Would it also mean that we get to test out some new weapons?

Pure: Knock yourself out.

Trinity: Sweet.

Pure: Rick and Marshal will help with the defense of the fort and any assistance to the team, also I made some upgrades for them since they were being left out a couple times. Their new stuff is in the armory with their name on it.

Rick: Really!?

Pure: Go on and try it out.

Rick and Marshal headed to the armory to find their new armor and equipment for them. It was mechanical wings and armor from them to fly and be able to withstand attacks. They also had under armor so that they would regenerate and recover. They were each given a knife upgrade. The bayonets from Marshal's shotguns were now ballistic knives and could be used like a grenade launcher. Rick got a bigger blade which can shoot bullets into the enemy for silent kills so that he could still be quiet and move through heavily guarded areas. Marshal's super shotguns were given a reload mechanism so that he would be able to release more carnage. Rick got extended Megs and the ability to attach the Meg onto the other one to cut down reload time in case he had to make more shots in a short period of time. Once they got all of their new equipment they met back with everyone.
