chapter 52

CHAPTER 52

CHARLOTTES POV

Hayes left after talking to my parents for a while, and then we were called to a family meeting. My brothers were with my parents this whole time, and I missed them a lot.

"Charlotte we need to talk. Please call Brooke downstairs" my father said, and I did as he Said. I called Brooke and she came downstairs and we all gathered into the living room.

"I know this is going to be hard on you guys" my parents stated. "But we find it better to be living in New York" they said.

My eyes went wide and my phone dropped to the floor. "Mom! Dad! But you can't do that! I love it here!" I exclaim but she shakes her head.

"I know this is hard on you, but our mind is made up." she said. My eyes brimmed with tears, as did Brooke.
"What about Hayes?! And all our friends?!" I ask now crying.
"Well see Hayes again soon. I promise" my mom said.
"The reason we moved down here is because you kept coming to North Carolina too much. Now were going back to New York and the same thing is going to happen" I fight back, but my mom isn't listening.
"Charlotte our decision is final. Go pack. Were leaving in 2 weeks" they said and left the living room.

I looked around and then started to sob. I really don't want to move. We jut got here! Not even a year ago!

In 2 weeks it's the day after my birthday. Great.

My parents brought boxes in my room and I slowly started to pack. I go onto my phone and get a text from hayes.

Hayes: I miss you babe xx

I started to cry even harder. I throw my phone on my bed, and pack slowly. I put away most of my clothes and extra things in my closet. After about an hour, I get another text.

Hayes: are you ok? you usually answer...
Hayes: want me to come over?

He kept sending texts along those lines, making this harder than it was.

Charlotte: no hayes you don't have to come over.

I don't want to make this harder than it is saying 'I miss you' and all that because that'll make me cry even harder.

Plus spring break is for 2 weeks and is starting tomorrow. So hayes will probably come over, which will make it even harder.
