CHAPTER 5

CHARLOTTES POV

"Kiss me" he said.

Kiss Hayes. Well he did break up with Audrey, so I wasn't hurting anyone. I do like him so what's a little kiss going to do?

I stepped closer. I put my arms around his neck. I stood on my tippy toes and our lips touched.

I pulled away and smiled. He smiled back at me.

"Hey so want to hang out tomorrow? You can meet my parents and Skylynn" he said

"Sure what time?" I asked

"Come over at 10:30 so we can...." He started to trail off.

"Bake?" I said and it came out more like a question.

"Yeah! Skylynn loves to bake!" He said

We sat down on the grass and talked about everything. Before I knew it, 2 hours passed.

"Hey i should get going its pretty late" I said and stood up.

"Ok. Ill text you" he said and came closer to me.

"Okay" I said and smiled. He kissed my cheek.

"Good night babe" he said and I left.

I headed home and hopped into bed. I had a text from Hayes.

Hayes: had a lot of fun today. goodnight beautiful xx

Charlotte: me too. thx for everything xx

I love it when Hayes calls me beautiful or babe. No matter how scared I was to kiss him, I liked it. Maybe because I've never kissed anyone before and I was nervous.

I felt my eyes become heavier. They eventually shut and I slipped into a deep sleep.

THE NEXT MORNING

I woke up and the time was 9:30. I went to the shower and changed into leggings, a gray v-neck t shirt and moccasins. Then i brushed my teeth and put my hair in a pony tail. I packed my phone and headed downstairs.

"Where are you going?" My mother asked

"Hayes house. I'm going to play with his sister" I said and headed to the living room to watch tv for a little.

A half hour later I was knocking on the door to Hayes house. Nash greeted me. "Charlotte right?"

"Yep. And you're nash" I said and stepped inside.

Hayes came down the steps. He gave me a big hug. "Hey babe" he said.

"Hi" I said and we went into the kitchen.

"So you must be Charlotte?" His mom asked and came up to me.

"I am" I said smiling and shaking her hand.

"Hayes talks about you all the time! He was right!" She said. I was kind of confused.

"Right about what?" I asked.

"Being pretty and nice!" She said and I looked at Hayes. He blushed a deep red and mumbled something under his breath. I just laughed at him.

"Thank you so much!"

"I'm Elizabeth. I didn't really introduce my self at dinner" she said

"Nice to see you again" I said still smiling. I felt Hayes drag me by the wrist.

"So you think I'm pretty?" I asked when we got up to his room. He rolled his eyes and laughed.

A little blonde girl came running in. "Hi I'm Skylynn"

"Hi Skylynn! I'm Charlotte!" I said and she smiled.

"Hayes says your really pretty" she said smiling and looking at hayes. He was blushing.

"I've heard" I said and looked at Hayes. I felt kinda bad. I leaned over and kissed his cheek. His face immediately brightened up.

"Ew!" Skylynn said covering her eyes. I just laughed.

"Come on Charlotte mom bought stuff so we could bake!" She said excited. She pulled my hand and we went downstairs.

Her mom left out a bunch of stuff to bake cupcakes like the tin, the mix, the bowl everything. I looked around for the key ingredient. I found it. Food coloring.

I out the mix in the bowl and added butter eggs and water. I let Skylynn pour the ingredients in, and then mix it all together. After that I divided it into 4 containers. I let Skylynn pour the food die into the containers and then mix it. I told her the correct way to put in the cupcake tin and she obeyed.

After they were out in the oven there was a still a bit more batter left. Hayes came over and stuck his finger in the batter. He came over and put some on my nose. I took a handful and smudged it all over his face.

After the cupcakes were finished in the oven, Hayes and I were practically covered in cake batter. I dipped my lips into a handful of sprinkles to make my lips look rainbow. Hayes grabbed me by the waist and pulled me close. I stood on my tippy toes and we kissed. I could hear Skylynn shout "ew" in the background.

"Awwww" nash said. We pulled away a few seconds after. Hayes had sprinkles on his lips and some of mine had come off.

I felt my phone vibrate. It was a twitter notification. Nash posted the picture of us:

Then there was a picture of us kissing. I retweeted it. Hayes did too. Then I looked up at his face and started laughing.

After we cleaned up and had the cupcakes frosted Hayes led me up to his room. "Hey wanna just hang here after school tomorrow? We could do our homework and then hang out after?" He asked me.

"Sure" I said. I looked at my watch. 3:47. Wow time flies.

"Listen Hayes I gotta go. But I'll see you tomorrow morning?" I asked and stood up

"Yep. I'll text you" he said and kissed my forehead.

I waved goodbye and left. Today was fun.

When I got home I showered and changed into pajamas. I basically watched netflix until I got a text from Hayes.

Hayes: goodnight beautiful xxxx

Charlotte: goodnight xx

I smiled. I then shut my eyes and fell asleep.
