CHAPTER 47

CHARLOTTES POV

we are now on the plane back home from LA. I honestly had the best time. I really don't want to leave, and go back to North Carolina. We have to go back to school and it's going to be terrible. We are so close to be finished with school, and I cannot wait.

The plane landed, and we collected our luggage and all of that. It took us a while to find a car, but we did. I rested my head on Hayes shoulder and played with his hands. "LA was so much fun" I said.
"I want to go back" he replied. I agreed with him and started thinking about everything out of boredom. One thought that crossed my mind was my parents.

I had to call them, I haven't heard from them in a long time. "Hayes?" I ask. He looks down at me and I start speaking.
"I think I have to go see my parents soon" i say. I really do not want to go back to New York to see them, but I have to check up on them eventually.
"Well I'll come with you. We can go whenever you want" he said kissing my forehead gently.

We continue talking until we get back to the house. "I'll call you later ok babe?" Hayes says to me. I nod my head, and he kisses my cheek. Brooke and I walked inside and the house was just as we left it. I bring my luggage upstairs, and then go downstairs and saw Brooke in the kitchen. We talked about mom and dad being in the hospital, and agreed to go to New York in May.

I decided to go into the living room to watch TV. I go into the living room and see her talking on the phone. Why is she even here?
"Colleen?" I ask, and she turns towards me.
"Charlotte!" She says getting up and hugging me. She had black leggings and a t shirt on. Her hair was blonde, but she had brown eyes like me.

"Um hi what are you doing here?" I ask. She let's go of our hug, and she looks at me with an innocent smile. I know she's hiding something.
"My parents sent me down here until June. I'll be attending your school! I'm so excited!" She says.
"Oh uh great" I say as enthusiastically as I can. I bring her luggage up to my room, and blew up the air mattress. She sits down on the bed and starts talking.
"So what's been going on?" She asked. I really do not want to tell her anything that's happening.
"Um nothing really" I lie. I sit down on my bed, probably looking like shit because of the plane and how tired I am. I check my clock and it's already 7. Wow time flies.

"Oh come on. I know your life is way more interesting than that according to instagram. There is a certain boy on there a lot. Who is he?" She asked, with a smirk on her face. I don't even want to tell her who Hayes is because I know she will freak out.
"He's my boyfriend" I say. Her eyes go wide, and as I predicted, she freaked out.
"Tell me more!" She said clapping her hands. I told her about him, like what we do and everything like that. I didn't tell her about why we went to New York, what happened there, or in the Bahamas.
"When can we see him?" She asked excitedly. We? You mean me.

"Um I don't know maybe tomorrow?" I said. Tomorrow we have school, and I am going to text Hayes that we are leaving early so I don't have to walk with Colleen. I feel sick just talking to her, but I don't want to be rude.

She continues ranting on about things I really don't care about, and then my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID, and it was Hayes.

(Phone call= c-Charlotte, h-Hayes)

H-hey babe
C-hi
H-you ok?
C-yeah why?
H- I don't know you sound kinda out of it
C-yeah I don't really feel well
H-want me to come over?
C-you don't have to
H-I want to
C-thanks Hayes
H-I'll be over in like 10 minutes okay?
C-okay.

I hung up the phone and Colleen is giving me this look. "What?" I asked. She continues to smirk.
"Was that Hayes?" She asked. I nodded and she started talking about meeting him. But she isn't gonna meet him.

Ten minutes later of listening to Colleen talk about her crushes and wanting a boyfriend, the doorbell rang. I ran downstairs, or see Hayes standing in the doorway. "You ok?" He asked. I didn't answer, I just fell into his arms, and he brought me over to the couch.

He brought the blanket over us, and my head laid on his chest. He ran his fingers through my hair, making me feel safe. We didn't talk, we just laid there enjoying each others presence. I actually didn't think about Colleen, until she came downstairs.

"Hayes! It's so good to finally meet you!" Colleen says coming into the living room. She sits down next to Hayes, a little too close.
"Hi um I'm Hayes" hayes said. He turned to me, and I mouthed 'I'll explain later'.
"Colleen" she says. It was kinda silent, until Colleen started talking again.
"So Charlotte tells me so much about you" Colleen says. I blush, and cover my face with my hands.
"Really?" Hayes asks, and I can tell he's smirking.
"Yeah. It's cute" she says. Even though my face is covered, I can tell he is now facing me. I remove my hands, and run into the kitchen.

I go to the refrigerator to get some water, and Hayes comes from behind making me jump. "Scared babe?" He says and I can tell he's smirking. I don't say anything, I just take my water bottle and go to the cabinet to get a snack. Hayes is still attached to my waist, and after I get a snack, he rests his head on my shoulder.

"So what did you say about me?" He said quietly into my ear. His hot breath against my skin caused goosebumps to cover my body.
"Nothing" I say stubbornly. I get out of his grip and run towards the dining room to eat my snack. He comes up and sits next to me. "Please tell me" he begs. I shake my head, and go back into the kitchen. His hands slither back around my waist, and he asks again. I shake my head and he let's go. "Fine then I'll have to find out my self" he said walking into the living room.

I sit at the counter, ignoring what was happening. I could here them talking for a few minutes, and then Hayes came back into the kitchen. He had a smirk on his face. "What?" I asked. He continued to stare at me, and I really wanted to know why. "What?" I ask again and he looked at his hands then at me.
"Nothing your just really beautiful" he said smiling. I rolled my eyes, and continued to eat. I could tell he was looking at me, but I didn't look at him.
"What you don't believe me?" He asked. I didn't say anything, I just continued eating.
"I only speak the truth babe" he said. His finger traveled under my chin, and he lifted it up so I was looking right at him.
"Your beautiful, don't let anybody tell you different" he said. A smile cracked along my face, and I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly.

We talked for a little while longer, and I explained everything about Colleen.
"Ok babe I'm gonna go home" hayes said.
"Nooooooo" I whined. He got up and started to head towards the door. I kept on begging, and eventually I just jumped on his back, and he carried me until he got to the door.
"Plleeeassseee stayyy" I pleaded.
"Babe we have school tomorrow" he said.
"Screw school" I said, and he chuckled at my comment.
"Babe I don't want to leave either. But I have to. I love you, I'll come early tomorrow so be ready" he said and I smiled and nodded.
"Bye babe" he said and kissed my lips softly.

I went upstairs, took a shower, and fell asleep.
