CHAPTER 54

CHARLOTTES POV

it's been one week. One week since I told hayes I was moving. I have one more week left, and every single one of these days of break, we've been together almost 24/7.

Whenever we aren't together, we call and text and when we are together we barely leave eachothers side. Today he was helping me pack.

I open my dresser that contains all my swear pants swet shirts and leggings. Hayes was sitting on my bed keeping a conversation with me. "So there is where all my sweat shirts and sweat pants went" he said chuckling.
"Oh yeah. Here" I said throwing all his sweat shirts and sweat pants at him.

"No babe" he said and stuffed them in the box. I smiled and he kissed my lips gently. I smiled and we continued packing.

TIME SKIP TO THE DAY OF CHARLOTTES BIRTHDAY

I woke up to my phone buzzing. It was an incoming call. I grabbed my glasses and answered the phone.

"Hello?" I mumble in an annoyed tone.
"Well good morning to you too" hayes says. I instantly grow a smile on my face, and giggle,
"Thanks for letting me sleep in on my birthday" I say getting out of bed.
"Oh that's right it's your birthday" he says sarcastically. I roll my eyes and look at the remains of my clothes for an outfit.
"I know it's my birthday. The thing that comes once a year reminding you that your a year older" I say sarcastically.
"Well since I didn't know, I'm going to take you out for a day of completely unplanned events. I'm picking you up in 20 minutes" he said completely sarcastic.
"Ok babe" I say into the phone, and I can Just feel him smiling on the other end.
"Oh yeah happy 14th birthday to the best thing that's happened to me. I love you" he said into the phone, which caused me to smile widely.
"Love you too" I said and hung up.

I go into my closet and pick out a floral dress that went to my mid thighs, a blue denim jacket, and white converse. I straightened my hair and put my hair half up half down. I added black mascara, a thin line of black eyeliner, and a little tiny bit of lipgloss.

I nod in approval and head downstairs to see hayes waiting in the living room. "21 minutes later, I told you to be down in 20 minutes" he said smiling. I punch him in the arm and he laughs. "That didn't hurt babe" he said holding my hand. I roll my eyes and he leads me out the door.

"So where are we going?" I ask.
"What's the fun of a birthday surprise if I tell you?" He says and I kiss his cheek.
"I hate surprises" I say and this time he kisses my cheek. We continue talking until we get to a carnival. "Since I've never taken you to a carnival" he said. I hug him and kiss his cheek.

"Where are we going first?" I ask. He drags me over to the haunted house ride. Of course.
Everytime something would pop out Id scream and grip hayes arm tighter. "Relax babe I'm right here" he said which made me feel a lot better.

Finally the ride ended and I dragged hayes over to the games. We played the basketball one, and he won, obviously. "Which one should I get?" He asked. I look around, then point to a gigantic minion. "Thanks babe" I say and kiss his lips.

"Can we go on the Ferris wheel?" I ask. He nods and I drag him over to it. We get into a cart, and like always, it stops at the very top. We can see all of the carnival and some of the town. It wasn't later in the day, but it was still a break taking view. "Hayes this is amazing" I say breathing out.
"You know what else is amazing?" He says. I turn to him, and see his deep blue eyes staring right at me.
"You" he says quietly and kisses my lips. I smile into it, and then the Ferris wheel starts to move.

We get off and head back to his house up to his room. He jumps into bed and I look at him like he's crazy. He pats the seat next to him and I slide in to his arms. "Shit" he says under his breath. "What?" I ask.
"I'll be right back" he says and leaves downstairs. Before I can think any further, I take out the note I wrote for him.

I wrote it for him last night, for him to open tomorrow or whenever. I slip it on his bedside table, and jumped back into his bed. He comes up with a wrapped box, and he's dressed in sweatpants and a tshirt.

I carefully tear the wrapping paper and open the box. There are a pair of sweatpants and a t shirt. That aren't from a store, they're actually his. I giggle and go to the bathroom to change. They were actually really comfortable, and smelled good. I come out of the bathroom and throw my hair into a messy bun. Hayes is just sitting there on his bed smiling at me. "What?" I ask.
"You look cute in my clothes" he says and I jump in bed next to him. "So what movie are we gonna watch?" I ask.
He scrolls through Netflix, and he found my favorite one. 21 Jumpstreet. I giggled and kissed his cheek and watched the movie.

After the movie was over I was scrolling through twitter. "Hey babe let's go outside" I groan and get up. He takes my hand and leads me downstairs to the back yard. There is a net set up, and two lacrosse sticks, with a blue and pink tye dye ball. "C'mon let's play" he said and I grabbed Nash's stick. This was the ball we played with when Hayes dared me to kiss him. Best dare ever.

We play a good 25 minutes until Hayes gets the ball, and I'm tired of running. So I jump on his back, and we both fall to the ground. He kissed my nose and we got up. "Hayes I um i gotta go home. Finish packing" I say. It's 3:25, my parents asked me to be home at 3:30 for packing and all that. "Oh well I'll see you at the airport right?" He says, and I nod. My lip begins to tremble, and I blink rapidly to try and make the tears go away.

"It's ok baby" Hayes says embracing me into his world famous hugs. I star to sob a little, and then let go. "Hey. You don't need to cry. I'm gonna see you again soon. I promise" he whispers, and kisses my lips. I nod, and start to go to the front yard, and then to my house.

I start letting the tears flow.

That was my last date with Hayes.
