The party music was loud- it was our last ever high school party- we graduate next week and all go off to live our separate lives. Anthony came over and grabbed my hand- he dragged me away from the girls. "What's up?" I asked. "I know you and Jake- the breakups free and you both hurt a lot right now, but please he wants to talk to you." I sighed. "Fine, but only for you." I smiled. He hugged me. "You're my bestfriend." I said. "You're mine too!" He grinned.

I adjusted my dress as I walked outside, I stepped out the back door and Jake walked down onto the patio. "Hey." He said. "Hey." I said, sipping my drink. "What's up?" I asked. "I just wanted to apologise, clear the air, so that when our group sits together for graduation and all goes to Prom together it isn't awkward." He said, I looked into his eyes and felt all tearful and silly. "Hey don't get upset." He said, he hugged me and I didn't let go. "Sorry." I laughed when we pulled away, I dabbed my eyes with the back of my hand. "It's okay." He smiled. For a split second, I felt the love again. "I forgive you, I just want this all to be done now." I sighed. He nodded in agreement. "Come here." He said stretching his arms out. He held me tightly, like he did when we were dating. He leaned in to kiss me, but I pulled back. "Don't kiss me unless you mean it Jake, unless you're still in love with me and want to try again. I'm so in love with you and can't deal with the heartbreak again." I whispered, he leant in and kissed me. "I love you." He smiled. I smiled back. "I love you too." I wrapped my arms around his neck and he rubbed my back. "Forever and always." I said. "Forever and always." He echoed.
