I watched him conceal the real him as he shoved past people- his bellowing voice filling the hallways and him swinging his arm around Anthony. The hallway was become louder and louder. I shook my head sadly. "You're right, he really has changed." Erika sighed. I felt sick that my boyfriend thought he could act this way around everyone. My eyes filled with tears. "I'm gonna talk to him later."

We were walking back to mine after school, Jake was trying to be really affectionate. He leant in to kiss me and I didn't kiss back. "Hey what's up?" He asked, trying to hold my hand. "We need to talk." We got to my front door and sat on the doorstep. His eyes were so focused on mine. "You've changed for the worst lately Jake and everyone's noticed it..." He frowned. "What do you mean baby?" He asked, I swallowed my tears. "You were always the boy who everyone looked up to. The one the teachers praised and the parents adored. All the girls wanted you and all the boys wanted to be your friend. I knew the real you- the one who was sensitive and sweet. The one who cried if I cried. You are not that person anymore. You are rude to the teachers, parents want their kids away from you. None of the girls give you a second look and you're essentially down to your last friend. Can't you see that being this big, rude, boisterous personality doesn't fit you? It's not you Jake." He frowned again. "You were always loving, supportive and recently you're cold and confrontational all the time." He retorted. "You are turning it on me again Jake, like you always do. You're the boy I fell head over heels for 2 years ago, at least I thought you were. But, I can't keep fighting against a force out to hurt everyone." I wiped a tear off my cheek.

"Please don't get upset." He sighed, almost breathtakingly. "I want the old you back Jake...please." I cried, he put his arms around me and held me tightly. "I'll try...I promise." He whispered.
