The Best Thing I Never Had

I sat down at my dining room table with my breakfast and coffee. I opened my laptop and scrolled through Twitter. Nick Crompton had released a statement about leaving Team 10, intrigued I scrolled down and read it. I was shocked- I couldn't work out if it was a dig at Jake or Nick saying he was sad to be leaving. I took a bite of my toast and text him. 'You've left?! Wtf?! Update me on the goss- Y/N x' I clicked send and smiled to myself.

I was in Team Ten for a year, I was Jake Paul's girlfriend. We had been together for 2 years prior to Team Ten- we grew up with each other and were both really in love with each other. I joined Team Ten as his assistant and then moved to the talent side of things. I enjoyed it; I had incredible opportunities, a dream career & I was watching the person I love grow and succeed on a daily basis. As satisfying and lovely it was, it came with so much drama. It all started when Alissa left, then Max, Martinez Twins, then Tessa and Alex. The stress Jake was under, put a strain on our relationship. We ended up arguing all the time and we stopped making time for each other. I was heartbroken when we finally called it quits and I guess I saw him in a different light.

Now, looking back I nearly loved him- I wouldn't really call it love anymore. I wanted Jake so bad, but leaving Team Ten 2 months ago has been so good for me. It was bittersweet to begin with, but now I strongly believe it was the best thing I never had.

Nick texted back a couple hours later. 'Not really any goss babe, it just didn't feel right anymore. It's been too long- we need a catch up. Coffee tomorrow morning?- N x' I grinned and typed a reply back. 'Yes it has! Glad drama isn't surrounding it and yeah sounds cool. -Y/N x'
