Jake:
"Come on have a drink, it'll make you feel better." Chance said slapping me on the back. I let the burning alcohol run down my throat. It made me feel on top of the world for a split second, before I hit rock bottom again. I wiped my mouth and put the shot glass down. "I'm gonna go use the restroom." I said, I pushed past the hot bodies up the stairs. I stood in the queue and looked behind me. She was there. Her hair tumbling down her back and her makeup looked incredible. She was wearing a bralette and ripped jeans with heels. She had the necklace I got her on as well as the heart ring. She looked at me and then her cheeks flushed pink. "Hey." I said attempting to break the ice. "Hi." She half smiled.

Y/N and I were together for a couple months it was after I'd just broken up with a girl. She was proper serious and I fucked around. It was only after she dumped me I realised how much I loved her. She told me she was falling in love with me and she knew I wasn't falling in love back, so she ended the relationship to prevent herself from getting hurt. Selfish, but it made perfect sense. "How have you been?" I asked. Her sparkling eyes darted around the hallway, before falling back to mine. "Urm I'm not sure okay I guess. I've missed you." I saw regret flood her eyes as soon as she'd said it.

Y/N is quite quiet, we were in different friendship groups, but I introduced her to all of my friends- much to my ex Taylor's disgust as it pushed her away. Y/N clicked with everyone and she got super close with all of them. They helped bring her out of her shell and she's a lot more confident now. She stands a little taller and smiles a little wider.

"I've missed you too. A lot more than you think I have." I said quietly. Her eyes glittered for a second, before filling with fresh tears. "You don't have to pretend." She mumbled. I held her hand. "I'm not pretending Y/N." I replied. She dropped my hand and raced downstairs. I tried to catch up with her, but their was hot bodies everywhere. I ran into the garden and someone grabbed my top. "Hey sexy." Taylor's arms snaked around me. "I heard you and Y/N broke up, I told you she was only a rebound baby. I'm you're one and only." Her blonde hair was wavy and her blue eyes mischievous . She tried to kiss me, but I dodged. "Hey Jakey, what's up beautiful?" She said biting her lip. I pushed her hands off me. "I'm looking for Y/N, to fix things with her. Which you would know if you weren't trying it on with me. We broke up for a reason T." I shrugged. "I DON'T NEED YOU ANYWAY JAKE!" She screeched as I walked away. I ran out to Anthony's drive and found her. She was stood, her hands wrapped around her elbows looking at the stars.

Y/N:

"You told me it didn't matter if people made mistakes in life, because when we die...everyone gets a star up there." His voice still sent chills down my spine. "Did I?" I asked rhetorically. He was stood behind me, I could feel his presence. "I want to fix things with you Y/N."

I turned and looked at the boy who up until a few months ago was completely unaware of my existence, despite the fact I'd had the hugest crush on him for years.

"I was just a rebound from Taylor, I understand that now. We can be friends if that's what you're asking, I don't hold grudges." I half smiled at him. "You weren't a rebound from T..." My stomach clenched as he called her by her nickname. "From Taylor." He corrected himself and I relaxed a little. "I want you Y/N. That's why I'm stood here, I'll beg on my hands and knees if that's what it takes to get you back. You're so different from the other girls- you're carefree, clever, naturally stunning, warm-hearted, kind, sweet...the list goes on. I've fallen in love with you Y/N and that's as simple as I can put it. I know I fucked up last time, but I'm asking for one shot to make it up to you. Prove to you I'm worth it." He said. I held my hand out and he took it.

"I only give second chances to people who I think deserve it Jake." I said. I took a step forward, laced my hands into the back of his hair and kissed him.

Taylor:

I stood at the window upstairs as she kissed him. His arms wrapped around her and when they pulled away they were both laughing. He spun her around and kissed her again. "You're gonna be okay." Anthony whispered, kissing the top of my head. He squeezed my hand and walked out. I watched them out the window and her smile was lighting up the street. She was so perfect.
