Kotaro: [this part is stated very affectionately] Oujo-sama, I brought your tea today. [places tray with the tea set on a table] Oujo-sama? Wouldn’t you look at me today? Has revealing my feelings to you a mistake? You loved me…did you not? Are? [The Japanese for “Huh”] [a gentle sigh from a smile] You’ve been playing coy for a quite some time now, ah, do you feel like going outside today? Then Ikue-oujo sama, would you let me see those eyes again? Would you let me see your smile again? [his tone is becoming maniacal] We promised a long time ago didn’t we? We’d be together forever. Forever. No one would get in the way.  

Mitsuo: Kotaro.  

Kotaro: [cold tone] Ah Mitsuo, what gives you the right to step in to the mistress’ room?  

Mitsuo: … [make a sound like a sigh]

Kotaro: It’s best if you leave. No matter what you say, nothing will change.

Mitsuo: Exactly. How long do you plan to continue this farce? Ikue would be—

Kotaro: [lunges at him and grabs him by the collar] Do not. Say. Her name. Familiarly.

Mitsuo: [slaps his hands away] The mistress was like family to us but this… [the video reveals a girl preserved in a cryogenic or a transparent coffin] This wouldn’t be what she wanted.

Kotaro: She’s alive…

Mitsuo: She’s de-

Kotaro: She’s alive!  

[Mitsuo punches Kotaro and he falls to the ground]  

Mitsuo: Enough already… I’ve already tolerated your games for half a year. [his eyes hover on the frozen girl/Ikue] [he sounds pained] But I can’t bear to see her like this anymore. Let her go Kotaro.

Kotaro: You’re wrong… she wanted to be with me… She’ll always be with me…  

[Flashes back to a scene where a girl is sitting up in bed with her eyes closed, sunlight pours from the window]

Ikue: Kotaro? You’re there aren’t you?

Kotaro: H-hai, forgive me for not announcing my presence ojou-sama.

Ikue: [smiles] Didn’t I tell you that you could just call me Ikue? You’re more than just my butler Kotaro.

Kotaro: [flustered] Ojou-sama, don’t tease me too much.

Ikue: [laughs] But I’m not, you’re a dear friend to me. You and Mitsuo.  

Kotaro: You don’t need Mitsuo… all he does is put you in a cage.

Ikue: You misunderstand Kotaro. It may look like that, but Mitsuo only has good intentions.

Kotaro: … If you say so…  

Ikue: Kotaro [she opens her eyes] I don’t have much longer to live. When I disappear from this world, I want you to keep moving forward.

Kotaro: Ojou-sama! Don’t say such things!

Ikue: It’s okay [she touches his cheek] You wouldn’t be alone… Mitsuo would—

Kotaro: I don’t care about Mitsuo! [his voice gets shaky] We promised a long time ago.. that we’d be together forever.
