so I never really had a face claim for Mateo because I couldn't find one. Ok I mean there is that one pic in the chapter after the one in which he's introduced in. But idk I never really considered that as much of a face claim.
bUT I FOUNd a good one NOW.
So a reader told me to watch this youtube video that's an interview with a one year old and the KID literally reminds me of Mateo AND THE KID'S NAME IS MATEO.
Coincidence much?
Anyways here's the video. I died watching it. I either hate or love kids but this kid I love. This is what I imagine Mateo in True Colors to be like and look like, obviously older because he's 4 years old but this Mateo in the video is almost 2.
YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS.
BUT YEAh basically Mateo is this cute little ball of sunshine. He even has the chin dimple, which Dean has (ew dean but yay Nathaniel buzolic).

My heart bursts with love for Mateo (the character) and now that I have a face claim in mind, this book just got harder to write.
I'm gonna leave you here with a pic of Mateo Mercado who plays Mateo Decoux in the book :)
